Stocks are a form of gambling. There is always risk. You get to choose the amount of risk. Some people take huge risks in gambling and in the stock market. Sometimes it works. Some people are a little more conservative (low risk) when they gamble and in the stock market. My portfolio seems to weather these uncertain market fluctuations pretty well.
