  1. Freestyle is much more suited to his explosive style (and with him not having to worry much about control, just literally turning exposing their backs quickly...I think he'll be great.)
  2. I dunno. One of the greatest modern pro wrestlers is Kurt Angle, and his in-ring prowess was a huge factor. He had an incredible workrate. On FRL yesterday they said he's still going to do the WWE thing, so maybe my supposition on this was off (and as @Interviewed_at_Weehawken mentioned, he was there training yesterday.
  3. She's not running, she's retiring (thankfully). I would very much like for the people with power in this country to be under 70.
  4. Most case files are kept for a period of time. The evidence isn't REALLY at issue any longer since he's entered a plea, although a judge could consider the evidence in the case file for either mitigating or aggravating factors. Truthfully, given how busy most courts are, they pretty much just use police reports in practice.
  5. Guys not cutting weight during redshirt or greyshirt seasons is not uncommon. I also, personally, think he's a 157, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
  6. It's notable this is happening shortly after Vince took back the leadership of the on-air product from Triple H and the company was sold. It's possible that Triple H saw a future for him, but that Vince doesn't.
  7. Not exactly. An Alford plea is a guilty plea where you maintain your innocence, but basically say that you think it's in your best interests to plea. Here Ferrari pled no contest, meaning he is neither contesting nor denying the charges, but it is allowed by courts to be treated as if it's a guilty plea. Many times it's a distinction without a difference, but they are different things.
  8. The deferment often acts as a kind of probation in essence, since the main thing about probation is you have to do stuff to improve you and/or repay your debt. It mainly eliminates the more standardized supervision, thus alleviating strain on the system of having to watch over people. It typically is used for people with limited or not criminal history.
  9. Using the Oklahoma court records which show this: https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=payne&number=CM-2022-807&cmid=414806 It appears that he was not sentenced to 18 months of probation, but that was the maximum sentence he could have gotten. The judge deferred sentencing (which means it's hanging over Ferrari's head) for 1 year pending the completion of certain financial terms as well as an anger management course and a written apology to the victim. If the terms are completed, the judge would dismiss the time and the case would be over. So it shouldn't be a problem for him to go elsewhere. If he had gotten on probation, it would still be possible thru the interstate compact which allows for things like transfers of probation.
  10. Feels like I picked a good year for my first trip to the US Open, especially if Spencer goes.
  11. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/03/31/florida-house-parental-rights-bill-pronouns-lgbtq-00089971 I have pointed this out to you a couple of different times, but they are already working on expanding that to K-8. Then it will be K-12. It's all been a stepping stone, shifting the Overton window on this subject. "Oh it's just K-3, of course this is ok..." and already, here we are expanding it.
  12. Yes, but you have to use a veterinary student.
  13. I'm making my assessment of Sealey based off of my watching of him, but I admit my sample size on the high school kids is limited.
  14. I don't care if he's doing whatever he wants with his site. I just think it's hilarious given that his fans (and he) were screaming about the previous regime doing the same thing. I agree: it's a private company, he is the owner, he can set the terms of use.
  15. Yes. Get your money, BernDawg.
  16. @Husker_Du has semi-backed him up on this one on Twitter, so maybe this one is accurate, but the guy is still a moron.
  17. CAN WE PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT AJ FERRARI GOING TO IOWA I'M BREAKING OUT IN HIVES!
  18. Middlemen went to prison. Regular folk like us. Not the big guys who are actually spending the money.
  19. I think that people paying money for NIL purposes would want those athletes at the highest profile places to get the most visibility.
  20. Follow up: the.make up is going VERY slowly as Elon is posting screenshots of their Signal chats now, lol. https://www.theverge.com/2023/4/10/23678105/elon-musk-substack-notes-battle-matt-taibbi?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=news_tab
  21. I'm not truly an insider, so I would say no based on the fact Iowa wasn't mentioned in his top 7.
  22. I dunno. I'm certainly not a ranker. To my eye, I think Ferrari and Sealey are the best guys in the year, but that's all gut feeling.
  23. I think he's taken a couple of losses recently, so I'm not sure if he will, in fact, be the #1 overall recruit, but either way, very high level kid.
