Piss poor? In what matches has Swiderski's tank been a concern? I'm not saying it hasn't, but I haven't seen it.

I haven't seen swiderski fade late in matches either.  I have seen him struggle on bottom though,  and SVN is brutal on top.  If swiderski can keep the match on their feet I think he wins.

I like that pick too.

For a first round upset I’m liking 24-seed Joe Curtis over #9 Chris Moore.   20-2 in countable matches with a 79% bonus, only losses to Welsh and Conway.

Rude.

I think chaos is coming for 149. Ryder Block or Aden Valencia make the finals out of the bottom half.

Agree there’s no clear favorite at 149 except VanNess and even he’s won some really close ones….. this bracket could get blown up

How about highest seed to AA?

Higher than 12 seed (equivalent to Blood Round) I'm looking at:

133 - #16 Fugitt

141 - #18 Nogle

149 - #13 Zargo, #17 Kapusta

174 - #15 Wask

197 - #18 Reall

Ty Watters makes the semis at 157 beating both IVY guys.

Strickenberger AAs as the 17 seed and Klinsky AAs as the 11 seed at 125 and beats Dean Peterson in the R12 NJ bloodbath

Mendez goes out like Myles Martin and loses in the semi to Stanich

I would not want to see Mendez at the US Open if he doesn't win a third 😳

Seidel “upsets” Forrest in the semis

Seidel had a 3-1 TD advantage in the dual. Credit to Forrest for the 7 point move for the win though but he knows he dodged a bullet. Seidel will be ready and his nerves should calmer after getting a match or two under his belt. It’s a homer pick but I think he majors Forrest

See I think the opposite, that Seidel never scores that much on Jax again. So excited to see the rematch though

I always wonder who can take out a PSU stud.  The problem is...THEY are the tough out.  I realize everyone can have a bad day but it is almost impossible to predict who can out pace one of the PSU wrestlers.

Who do you see taking out SVN?  I don't see it.

Gaj

I like this one…Wask caught my eye looking through as well

Wask won three dominant bouts at EIWAs but lost his semis bout to Carter Baer in the tiebreaks; it cost him in the NCAA seedings.  Looking for a rebound for sure.

Bouzakis beats lilendahl he will be 140 +. Has to beat Volk first day. But think he will.

Seidel beats Larkin then jax loses davino ( siedel on tear that's why match so close not luck. Him jax neck and neck. Both ridiculous.

Buenges over gaj and van ness ( reach but I think possible)

I just looked up Betancourt on Riders website.  It looks like he was a pretty sought after recruit coming out of HS.  Wrestling at both Ohio State and PSU.  Going 15-6 at OSU as a true Freshman.  Then a year at PSU before ending up at Rider in 2023 wrestled up a weight at 141 in 2024-25 season going 8–10.

He was also a Silver Medalist at the Pan American Championships held in Oaxtepec,Mexico.

This could be considered an upset for Baker is you just compare Bios and not the seeding numbers.
