Cant wait to watch Bo vs the all-time winningest Wrestler in PA History Brandt Harer in Hershey Arena in PA State title...I know most think it will be a Bo Tech but I think it will be a very close match and Harer Wins

Could Bassett have even wrestled for Va Tech this year? Jax Forrest is at Oklahoma State so presumably Bassett could be at Va Tech.

If his parents didn’t hold him back then yes he’d be able to wrestle for them

Bassett really struggles against guys he can’t physically bully. See: match vs Marcus Blaze. SVN bullies grown ass men in folkstyle. Unless Bassett pins SVN in the first period, he’s not beating SVN.

Tbf it’s not just his parents… it’s getting way out of hand. What’s the point of holding back your kid just to have them reclassify and enter college early (Jax Forrest).

I am surprised so many think SVN winning is a given. He might give him problems riding Bo but on the feet I think Bo gets him

It’s a style matchup and it doesn’t benefit Bo. Bo might get him once or twice on the feet but let’s not pretend SVN can scored in bunches as well. Kid vs Man…man should win.

Bo won’t be able to bully him. Without that, Bo has minimal offense.

Agreed... He reminds me a bit of Austin Desanto in that way. If it's someone that can't handle the pressure/heavy hands they fold.

Someone that doesn't give a crap about that and is technical and equally tough at hand fighting gives him fits. You can almost see him shut down in those matches when he knows he's not able to overwhelm someone in the handfight.

I don't think Bo is a bad kid but his whole style is just a couple decades past.

Melvin on the other hand is going to be an absolute handful.

I would have Bo in the finals this year, he smashed Tyus and majored Joy already this season.  Those will be top 5 seeds.  SVN gives up takedowns but that definitely gets him going.  I'll guess Henson would win it (very close) Bo would be runner-up (this year), Gaj also a chance to AA.  149 at VT is pretty solid, and Nininger is really good too.  This year I got SVN over Bo but by less than 3, Bo's motor is darn near Mitchell level.

I've really enjoyed watching SVN wrestle. There's a real efficiency to his motion, like he doesn't want to waste any movement or budge an inch. Kind of the opposite of MM who wrestles more like a tornado. I'm convinced that the takedowns SVN has given up is him experimenting and going along with Carl's advice that it's fine if the other guy scores if it opens things up. That said, I don't think Bassett is ready for SVN's heat.

I agree, it is out of hand. Its normalized cheating. Many on this board are fully okay with it. Any parent who pulls this crap is a cheating small-dick scumbag.

Does nobody remember how Stanich soundly beat Bassett?  SVN is a bigger, better version with an unlimited tank.

Agreed. Bassett couldn't beat a 137lb Marcus Blaze; he's getting steamrolled by SVN.

its okay, we already know you have no ethics and you don't care if kids cheat. loser.

There is an actual rule about how old you can be to compete in athletics and be eligible in PA. He's eligible so by definition he is not cheating. There is nothing subjective about said rule, it's in writing, so you can quit crying online (or continue I really don't care)

I don't concern myself with a decision made about a 99 pound junior high kid. It's not my kid, he's graduating at 19 like plenty of others yet he gets singled out all the time because he's good. All reliable sources say him and his family are great people so I'll trust them to do what's best for their kid. It seems to be working out both on and off the mat.
