Thanks for the opportunity. While you read these please noodle on a policy that conservatives have introduced that has helped more people than it has harmed?

Abortion bans - Hurt all pregnant people, within the affected geographical area, by introducing hesitancy into the decision making of doctors.
Forces doctors to leave those areas. Further harming the entire population of pregnant and potentially pregnant people.
Forces pregnant people to travel, doing so while pregnant can be harmful in and of itself, to obtain needed and necessary medical care. Straining them financially which further puts them and their families in harm.

Mass deportation - Punishes, mostly non-violent people, for trying to make their lives better. It also hurts the USA's economy by removing works and customers from the system. Hurting the economy forces budget cuts which harms those people that most rely on those resources to live.
The current administration has and continues to detain US citizens in an effort to deport as many black and brown people as possible. That is harm.

School vouchers war on public education - Conservatives want to and have worked to destroy the public school system. School voucher programs have expanded, in the face of public opposition and mounting evidence that these programs drain budgets, lack academic accountability, and predominantly serve affluent families. Public school students are harmed. With that society is harmed.

Medicaid Expansion - Conservative states had refused and continue to refuse to expand medicaid so that their citizens would be able to get a base level of health care. That harms poor people in conservative states. Putting extra strain on their budget with trickles up to everyone else.

Book bans - Harms students by forcing them to read only the things that conservative people are comfortable reading. Which we know is not much, if anything at all.

Voter ID laws - Harm poor people by forcing them to incur additional costs to partake in the right to vote.

Please, prove me wrong on any of the topics. If you can't then by default I am right. `

1. Abortion "bans":  please provide evidence/data that this affects ALL pregnant or potentially pregnant people in a negative way. Because what you are saying is ALL women or potentially pregnant women will or have had an abortion which is unequivocally false. Not to mention that the majority of pregnant women or women that will get pregnant do not nor will not get an abortion; thus, your whole premise is false including "it is dangerous for pregnant women to travel"...one has to assume you are not serious and only claiming that for the emotional crowd.  Also, please provide a list of states where abortion is 100% banned no matter the reason. Funny part of this topic, I'm actually neutral on this topic but can't stand when people constantly claim things that are false purely for political reasons.

2.  Mass deportations...All your claims are false as we are currently doing mass deportations and none of which is true and actually happening, and what you said is nothing more than emotional statements to get people worked up. Not to mention you are arguing with something the vast majority of people want.

3.  Vouchers...Wanting different educational options for parents and children do none of what you claim and see nothing more than emotional partisan talking points.

4.  Honestly I have no idea what you are talking about and I live in a state where there is a conservative majority and I have heard nothing about what you claim.

5.  Book bans...lol. This is utterly ridiculous...first the term "book ban" is an overly emotional talking point wh n no one has banned anything. Saying certain topics probably aren't appropriate for certain age groups and/or parents have say in what subjects their kids are taught at what age seems very appropriate. I assume you don't have kids.

6.  Voter ID...who and how are people "harmed" by something that is required for most adult things in our society?? Please be very specific.

Which method of abortion do you prefer?  The one where the doctor pulls the baby out limb by limb, piece by piece, with or without the aid of a solution that dissolves the baby’s skin, finishing up with a vacuum?

Texas Children’s Hospital Admits To Years Of Serious Lies In Settlement Over Transing Kids

The legacy media are carefully avoiding this point, but Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) has just formally admitted to deceitful and potentially fraudulent behavior during the years they spent providing illegal sex-rejecting medical procedures to children. They lied, repeatedly and aggressively, and they’ve been forced to say so.

As The Federalist previously reported, the announcement in May of a settlement between TCH and both the Department of Justice and the Texas Attorney General’s Office was premature. The agreement in May was an agreement in principle on a set of topics that still required negotiation to produce a signed and executed agreement.

That final settlement agreement has now been signed and released, and it’s damning. As a summary filed in federal court reads, “This case concerns fraud on Medicaid. Texas Children’s Hospital and doctors there provided ‘gender-affirming care’ to patients in violation of Texas’s Medicaid program requirements and by attributing treatments to false diagnoses. Those patients were primarily part of Texas Children’s Health Plan, a Medicaid managed care organization, which knowingly or recklessly failed to stop the fraud. These entities and the doctors who committed the fraud violated the False Claims Act and the Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act.”

You can read the complaint and settlement agreements in the case here(scroll down for the list of documents), in an announcement from the Burke Law Group, which represented former TCH nurse Vanessa Sivadge in a whistleblower lawsuit.

Coverage in publications like the Houston Chronicle say only that TCH has agreed to stop providing transgender procedures, and then they fudge the rest with sentences like this: “The probe into the hospital was then expanded in 2024 after a nurse alleged the hospital was obscuring its care for transgender youth by intentionally miscoding patients’ treatments in order to receive Medicaid payments.”

But this is no longer an allegation. By signing the settlement agreement, TCH has agreed to a description that says it obscured transgender procedures with dishonest billing codes:

H. "Masking Conduct" means the use of false diagnosis codes for items or services provided to patients to treat the patients' gender dysphoria or other gender identity related disorder,
including by using false ICD-10 codes instead of accurate primary diagnosis codes to obscure the
true reasons for the items and services provided to the patients.
"Misbranding and Commercial Insurance Plan Conduct" means (1) fraudulently
billing commercial insurance plans for "medically unnecessary" drugs to treat gender dysphoria
where the patients did not meet criteria for reimbursement as set by certain commercial plans; and
(2) (i) causing certain drugs to be misbranded by distributing or providing to patients (or their
parents or legal guardians) labeling for such drugs that was false or misleading; (ii) causing the drugs to become misbranded while held for sale because their labeling lacked adequate directions for their intended use; (iii) participating, facilitating, or otherwise conspiring with pharmaceutical manufacturers to introduce or cause the introduction of misbranded drugs into interstate
commerce; and/or (iv) participating in schemes to receive remuneration from pharmaceutical manufacturers to induce the generation of business (i.e., kickback schemes) based on the off-label
sales of such manufacturers puberty-suppressing drugs or cross-sex hormones.

To pay for transgender procedures for children, TCH and its providers pretended that those children had illnesses that they didn’t have. Then they billed insurance for the treatment of the fake illnesses.

Under the terms of the settlement, TCH agrees to the “Permanent Cessation of Sex-Rejecting Procedures,” and to “irrevocably terminate” the appointments and clinical privileges of a list of doctors who participated in those procedures. The hospital has also agreed to implement a long series of administrative and compliance procedures that will assure no recurrence of sex-rejecting procedures, including the creation of “a compliance and ethics program.”

Agreeing to open a destransition clinic to provide medical treatment to children mutilated by sex-rejecting procedures, TCH has committed to opening that clinic within 90 days.

Finally, the hospital will pay $8,576,000 to the State of Texas, and an additional $1,715,200 to Sivadge, the former TCH nurse, while also making a separate payment in an undisclosed amount for her attorneys’ fees and legal costs. Those costs will likely mean very little to a hospital that reports annual revenue of a little over $3.8 billion, with total assets near $8.5 billion.

1. Abortion "bans":  please provide evidence/data that this affects ALL pregnant or potentially pregnant people in a negative way. Because what you are saying is ALL women or potentially pregnant women will or have had an abortion which is unequivocally false. Nope, sure didn't. I'm sorry I didn't explain this using smaller words. If doctors are afraid to charged with a crime they might not want to practice medicine in that state anymore. So they leave. Fewer OB/GYNs in a state puts ALL pregnant people or future pregnant people in harm. So even having those laws puts pregnant people in danger. That's a fact!

2.  Mass deportations...All your claims are false as we are currently doing mass deportations and none of which is true and actually happening, and what you said is nothing more than emotional statements to get people worked up. Not to mention you are arguing with something the vast majority of people want. Explain to me what I said. I made economical points and judiciary points. All of which have happened. They are facts. Produce prices have gone up due to lack of available labor to pick them. That's a fact.  Increased prices on food puts poor people, especially, in additional harm. Also people that have pretty tight budgets. They are also harmed. That's a fact

3.  Vouchers...Wanting different educational options for parents and children do none of what you claim and see nothing more than emotional partisan talking points. This is why I know you have no idea of what you are trying to argue. Every single state that has expanded school vouchers have seen strains on the public school budgets. Which takes away resources from public schools. That harms public school students. That's a fact.

4.  Honestly I have no idea what you are talking about and I live in a state where there is a conservative majority and I have heard nothing about what you claim. Ok, but I'm right. As an attack on the ACA conservative states initially and continue to refuse to expand medicaid in those states. If you googled it you would learn about it. But I have a feeling you don't want to see negative information about your sincerely held beliefs. But those are facts.

Yes, you are an ass. This is true. I am perfectly comfortable having uncomfortable conversations with my kids. We will talk about sex and gay people and trans people and people with little to no empathy... ya know... conservative people. Conservative people are not to be feared or harmed but to understand them and help them into a better way of thinking and acting.

6.  Voter ID...who and how are people "harmed" by something that is required for most adult things in our society?? Please be very specific.  I thought I was pretty specific. And no, we had the conversation in a different thread that YOU DON'T NECESSARILY NEED AN ID IN SOCIETY. Poor people will be overly burdened to get a qualifying ID. Paying for transportation to the ID Office(DMV or MVD or whatever) specifically to vote IS. A. POLL. TAX. IS. ILLEGAL. If conservatives tried to argue about getting a new ID for other reasons then it would probably be fine. Didn't we just do that same thing with REAL ID? No one really had an issue because we all had years and years to do it. If they are free and delivered to everyone's house then it wouldn't be as big of a deal. But conservatives have not and will not offer to pay that bill. Because again, the harm is the purpose. Keeping a percentage of one specific group, poor people, from voting is the point. Because that group overwhelmingly votes for Dems. That's a fact.

And once again....

Cue the emotional appeal.

Can you prove the fetus felt anything to begin with?

My turn:

What about the possibility that the fetus, in this situation, would only know suffering, pain, and then death within the first hour after birth? If so, wouldn't it be more moral to put the fetus peacefully to sleep in the womb before it starts to feel pure agony and death after birth?

Why would you force a pregnant person and potentially their partner to suffer through that horrific situation if it could be avoided by addressing it weeks or months in advance?

You didn’t answer.  But you think it’d be okay if they peacefully put the baby to sleep (but they don’t) before they dismember it.  How compassionate.

1. Every OBGYN does abortions?  Didn't think so. Everything you claim as fact is 100% pure speculation...you provided zero evidence. And I can actually say that for every point.

2.  Please provide your cause and effect for produce production. Heck sort any credible source that directly links mass deportations and increased produce costs. Again, not your speculation or talking points but actually hard evidence. And you say higher prices harm poor people please show where this very thing is happening today...and it's directly related to deportations.

3.  Again you provided zero proof of your claim. Again speaking in terms of my sphere which includes where my kid goes to public school and two of my best friends who are teachers in two different states, one public school and one private school...none of which you claim is true...yes vouchers are increasing but there has been zero effects on any of the schools nor have I heard any rumblings from anyone in my state.

4.  Should be easy then for you to provide data/facts as to what you claim. Besides you just once again spewing talking points.

5.  This is where you fell off the rails completely. I'm an ass for asking if you have kids?  Man the odasity. Lol. Please point out where I ever said a parent shouldn't have conversations about the topics you mention, but that wasn't even what I was talking about...I was talking about the states that some books topics probably aren't appropriate for kids of certain age and thus shouldn't be exposed to them in a school library.  This is not a "ban". In my opinion, you talking about "conservatives" to your kids in regards to how they need help and the only way to think politically is your way is absolutely frightening!!  I taught my kid to think for himself, don't believe what you read on the Internet or what you hear on the new as the truth is probably somewhere in between... research both side of things and make your OWN decision and conclusions.  And I never even brought up politics during those conversations.  But hey, you do you...yikes

6.  You are just being ridiculous and condescending to poor people. You provided zero evidence that they are unable to get an ID...in my state they are free.  Are poor people able to get EBT?  How about are they able to go grocery shopping?  Are all poor people unable to get a car and register it?  What percentage of poor people actually vote??  By the way, why is it that poor people only vote one way...which isn't a true statement by the way.

Let's hope you can keep your emotions in check here and stop with the name calling.

Let's hope you can keep your emotions in check here and stop with the name calling.

1. Some do. Every OB/GYN takes care of pregnant people. Abortion bans affect pregnant people and how they get health care. If those OB/GYNs that do offer abortions services or specialize in risky pregnancies(hint, 100% of pregnancies elevate the risk to the pregnant person) decide that it isn't worth continue to practice in THAT state and leave then that affects how many OB/GYNs in the state. Fewer doctors in a specialty makes it harder to get care. Which affects every one in that group. THAT IS HARM.

Can you cite where I made the claim that 100% of OB/GYNs provide abortion services?

2. Wharton is a pretty good source. Fact!

3. Anecdotes mean nothing to me and should mean nothing to you. If at this point you are still relying on two friends in the field then I'm sorry you are either; not serious enough to continue this conversation due to you obviously not seeking easily searchable information on the topic or seriously lacking in critical thinking skills.

chew on that for a bit. Not expanding medicaid in the state negatively affects the population of that state.

5. Your exact quote, 'I assume you don't have kids.' So now you are a liar. Its not difficult to just go back and reread the post. I'll just assume you're lazy and not really a liar. So I take that one back.
My concern is that the public school library may be the only resource for a student and they shouldn't have books unavailable to them unless its for a good reason. Conservatives offer piss poor reasons for denying a book in a public library. I trust librarians.

6. My quote, "Because that group overwhelmingly votes for Dems" Did I say 'that poor people only vote one way'(your quote)? No I did not. Glad we could straighten that out. You're bad at this. Even with so much practice at posting on this site. I think this is why you hold the opinions that you have. Because you're lazy or stupid. Not an insult. Truth based on facts and evidence.

Asking all people to get an entirely new ID not a few years after we went through the whole REAL ID thing is just dumb.
Asking poor people to do it AGAIN is egregious. It is a poll tax. It is illegal. It would be harmful by potentially disenfranchising even one(y'all love that reason) voter. Requiring people to pay for a new ID would do just that. Again, it its free and automatic then I'd be ok with it. But conservatives would never suggest it let alone include it in the bill. Because the purpose is to be racist without saying the N-word out loud.
So in your mind, since poor people can get to the grocery store and get EBT and (maybe) register a car that they could easily absorb an additional cost for the sole reason to participate in the voting process?
The process that includes finding or ordering(which costs money) copies of documents which is an additional cost.
It seems as if you think that YOU could do this with minimal effort or hassle that EVERYONE should be able to do it. Quite a privileged position to be in, congrats.

I hope these resources have helped you understand how harmful your opinions have been, are, and will be in the future.
Conservatives don't want to help everyone. They want to help a few people. But this can only happen by the rest being harmed.
What they did was convince YOU that you are in the group that they are trying to help. They did this by convincing you that since you're doing better than THEM that you are special. So now you look down on THEM as not deserving of equality because they haven't pulled their bootstraps as hard as you or as skillfully as you.

And once again....

Are you suggesting poor people is synonymous with black people and minorities? Was that Freudian slip?

Mamdani is making ID a requirement for his government run grocery stores. Is he racist?

Only if poor people need the cheap / free food.   Maybe only the bad rich white people are using their IDs to get the free food.

Yes.  But not for the ID thing.

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.

😂  First off...how does one become "cooked" and "outmatched"??  Is it because you are extremely immature and emotional?  Or is it that the only way you can debate and discuss topics is to have this hilariously overinflated sense of self and intelligence?  Or is it calling people names and infering they have alternate meaning by doing some hilarious diagnosis on them based on what is written on an Internet forum?? 😂 Get over yourself!!

I just truly hope you are not a serious person and this is some schtick you play on Internet land...because if it is a true representation of who you it is really really sad to think you are raising kids to think how you portray yourself on here.

You don’t think they’ll rebel against him and do something like joining the marines, do you?

His problem is in courtroom after courtroom, legislature after legislature, his views are being shot down.  Lawsuits for malpractice have insurance companies, doctors, and hospitals running away from treatments he champions.

Can you just go back to addressing my points? We had a decent back and forth there for a minute. I like the number system you incorporated. Made it easier to craft responses.

Why pivot away to this? Its just not a good look.

But since you asked.

Cooked - you can't really refute my points or the facts I've cited to support them

Outmatched - the tools I use to gather information and discern reliable sources is better than yours. That's why my points are better.

Immature - What you are sensing as immaturity is more born out of frustration. You probably won't agree but you know I post on here quite a bit. Lately, more in spurts than on a consistent basis. In my history, there are maybe half a dozen accounts, you being one of them, that seem to utilize the same, in my opinion, dishonest tactics in discussion. I get frustrated with them. Then the conversation goes off the rails. Which is what I am guessing was the intended effect. Because as I've mentioned before when confronted with facts and data, conservative points cannot hold up. Its just that simple. Hence the dishonest tactics. You've all learned them from pundits. To talk but not really engage, especially when it will make your opinion look bad. Why not just change your opinion? If its wrong and bad and harmful, just change it? But as we have learned there are incentives to peddling certain ideas. They're usually financial. People on Fox(not)News are hoping to sell a book or get hired as the secretary of Defense or US Attorney or FBI Director so it behooves them to tell obvious lies NOW so they can get a promotion and a bigger paycheck tomorrow. But what is your motivation? Have you investigated that?

Overinflated sense of self - Not sure what you mean here. I'm sensing a bit of projection. Because all I do is type out my opinions. Opinions based on facts or reliable data that I have read or have come across through other means. Means that I have investigated and considered to be consistently reliable. If relaying information that I feel is reliable and accurate makes you think I have an overinflated sense of self and intelligence, I think that's a YOU problem. But I'd be happy to discuss why you think I'm wrong.

Names - I guess that's fair. Constantly using the laugh emoji doesn't really give you as  high of ground on this point tho. But as far as calling you a liar and being dishonest. I think I articulate good reasons. If you disagree please point out where you think I was wrong.

How I portray myself - As someone that knows things. If they don't know things they can look them up and determine if that source is reliable or not. That I can use words correctly. I'll bet you can't see how your statement says about you. YOU think that a person that does all the things I listed above, is bad or wrong. That even trying to make you better in your thinking is bad or wrong. That trying to fix a broken system by helping others see that it even exists in the first place, then getting mocked for it, is bad and wrong. I pity anyone that you have an influence on because your inferiority complex, that is obviously on display with that statement, is probably manifesting in ways that are quite harmful. I hope you have the courage to address it. Likely as not you'll just come back with a cope-laugh emoji as is your schtick.

But again, I think this is all a pivot because you don't want to continue the conversation. I wouldn't either if your whole point was to taunt me about not having facts. Then when I present obvious defeaters for your points. Then continuing to taunt me would start to make you look bad and dishonest. Sort of like what I've been saying this whole time.

But you do you.

And once again....
