With 3X AA and 2 time natty champ Matt Valenti in his 2nd year as head coach and with Pat Santoro taking over the PRTC our program is in very good shape. Outside of the Big 10 we have one of the toughest schedules this year.

CJ Composto 3X all american for Penn wins gold beating Bartlett 7-4 before the final!

Lucas Byrd to Penn as an assistant coach

Carroll on his 4th school. I believe he committed to Illinois, he then verbally committed to Penn, throw in Oklahoma State, and then Wyoming.

Max Gallagher Penn sophomore greyshirting

2 time all American CJ Composto from Penn enters the rankings at number four and he is 1-0.

Seefeldt lost to Alvan in ot in the journeyman. Alvan lost to the Hofstra kid who Seefeldt beat 8-0 Saturday. The ivies at 165 will be a dogfight. Could be a wildcard or 2.

Harrington got pinned in the Keystone finals to 11th ranked Jude Swisher from Penn who lost 5-4 in the blood round last year to Kasak.

Evan Mougalian from Penn beat Shawyver in the finals. Mougalian has been sitting behind all American Composto at 141 and last year beat Latona in the semis at the Keystone in overtime. This kid is the real deal at 133.

Davis Motyka at 125 for Penn this year. The freshman lost in s.v. to Moran at the journeyman. He looked good

Is Joseph Joyce committed to brown or Princeton? I see in the rankings he has committed to brown but then I saw on the forums when I scroll down they showed him in a Princeton uniform or am I confusing two guys?

No reason for Carr to take that shot when he was up 5 to 3. Aliev showing no offense whatsoever. Even the shot at 5-1 you could see he was just trying to hold on and get a stalemate because Valiev had great defense and he did score 2 there. Not a smart match for Carr in the second period.

Cross Wasilewski 149 Penn Jude Swisher 157 Penn both round of 12 last year

Any discussion about Burroughs taking over as the head coach is a waste of space. The Penn wrestling community is ecstatic that Valenti will be taking over this year. While Matt is a good dude and a good coach people forget that he was a three time All-American and a two-time national champ for Penn, probably the greatest folk style wrestler in Penn wrestling history. As a former Penn wrestler and big supporter of the program, I think the future looks bright for Penn wrestling.
