It's home for them, it's friends and neighbors and the life they know. It's a good home for hosting family functions and like I said not worth selling and buying newer and smaller. They maintained the home so it needs no work just updating, and that's what keeps the market value low. A smaller mew house would cost the same, and older small house would need work they can do anymore. They have looked into it and it doesn't make sense. They just have to pay for the corruption like the rest of us.

They had hard lives growing up and had no advantages. Mom never had plumbing or electricity until she moved out. There were 11 kids in a 2 bedroom house. Dad had to work from his early teens to help out his parents. Including moving away from home for months at a time over his summers. His pay was mailed home and he never saw a check. His boss would throw some cash at him out of sympathy. When the ground would thaw he dug graves by hand the get the people who died over winter in the ground. He could dig 3 a day with a shovel. He was an animal with a shovel. He worked how he did so his kids never had to experience what they did. Now he says he doesn't even recognize this country anymore. He says his greatest comfort is knowing he won't have to watch it collapse because he will be dead soon, and is relieved he won't have to die under a Biden presidency.
