I'm not sure the square footage, His taxes are are about $950 a month.  When he retired they were about $350.  My house is just under 3000', his is bigger. It's a 5 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms only 1 is considered a full bath. It's on 1/4 acre.

A guy that old doesn't need a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house to himself. That's outrageous and ridiculous. He deserves to pay whatever he's paying.

That's just taxes. Like I said he retired paying under $350. Why should a guy have to move and pay thousands in real estate fees. Forcing old people out of their homes used to be frowned on.  You work your whole life pay for your home and in the end after it's all paid off you end up paying the government more than you paid the bank. That's hardly a noble position being on the side of elderly people being sucked dry by the government, the same ones buying votes with the people's money. 

You have moral standing handing billions illegally to criminals all while taxing old people out of the home they paid for in full.

Property taxes are probably the fairest tax we have. They should be much higher imo. There's finite land available for housing in this country so when people own more than they need and make it more difficult for other people to get a piece of that pie, they should be paying significantly for it.

My property taxes almost doubled over 9 years. Instead of whining about it, I sold my property for more than a 100% profit. His dad will make a monster profit when he sells his house too so I'm not gonna feel sorry for him.

My parents both are alive and together.

How is property tax fair. It's literally the opposite. He gets no more services than people who pay half. 

Now they need nothing more than a shack or an apartment, but they worked hard for what they have and they earned everything they got, unlike the fraudsters our state blew away a surplus on then created deficits that exceeds what not very long ago was an annual budget. This state government is so corrupt they'll get lynched if this gets any worse, and it will be justified. What we are seeing is pure evil.
