For someone who wants people to tone down hateful political rhetoric this is pretty ironic

its funny, b/c his reply was a response to a leftist

something else seems to be coming out

this provision or whatever, is being sunset, b/c of what the dems put in the bill..

now they are blaming republicans for not undoing what they did .

My wife agreed ^^^ but when pressed on subsidizing foreigners, she said the U.S. should prioritize helping its own people.

The U.S. does not recognize food, shelter, and health care as a human right but offers many programs and charity.  I agree with the US on their legal stance.  The US current programs must be doing okay given their willingness to extend charities to other countries where the charity is siphoned from the corrupt folks in charge.

Of course.  But not via federal governments.  Not via force.  A moral obligation is just that - moral.  Between the individual and God.

So RoF, how about you reach into your own pocket to do it and not mine?  You meet your moral obligation to give XX% of your working life to feed, clothe, and treat people you don't know in your volunteer (morally obligated) way and I will do it in my volunteer (morally obligated) way.

Why don't those who want one just form a Leftie Health Coop (LHC).  A couple of quick assumptions:

  • The Americans left of center politically is about 50% of the populace = 170 million people
  • About 50% of the wealth ($160 trillion) of the nation =  $80 trillion
  • Annual Household income = $84k/year and we have about 132 million households so total household income is about $10 Trillion per year
  •

Here's the scheme:  Identify as a Dem or leftie or Antifa or Greenie or anything hating "The Man" and you are automatically part of LHC.  Simply do the following:

  • Send 10% of your wealth to LHC Pre-fund the scheme with $ 8 trillion
  • Send 10% of all income ($500 Billion per year total) to LHC
  • Just show your DNC card  (uh oh!!  An ID!! But this is to keep the freeloading conservatives from scamming the system) or foreign citizen ID card at the emergency room, operating room, or doctor's office and the LHC will pay.  No questions asked.  Millions of lives will be saved including AOC's reincarnated life after she died on J6.

P.S.  No tax deductions.  How you pay for your health care and your morally obligated payment for others' health care does not relieve you of paying your fair percentage (via a flat tax most appropriately) for roads, defense, courts, and Haitian male prostitute dance lessons.

If all the libs who want universal "free" health care would just form a mutual support organization and pay for it themselves it would form the most well funded health care organization in the world.  Just do it.  No one is stopping you.  Then you would be meeting your moral obligation while at the same time as giving me the freedom to meet my moral obligation is the way I see fit.

What could go wrong?  Is just moral.

This shutdown is about Schumer reelection campaign.   He is scared to death of AOC and feels he needs to go leftist to appease all those voters who would vote AOC.   New Yorkers may be that dumb seeing that they are voting for Mamdami apparently.   I know there is a difference between the city and the state, but the state is pretty hard care leftist as well so I would be scared if I was him as well.   He probably has enough money after serving int he Senate for a lifetime.   He'll be ok, don't worry.

It's not a clean bill but lets not talk about it.   Great reasoning there Nance.

Of course she is the one that said we have to vote for it to see what's in it.

Any evidence of your various points or just common sense?

Remember, R’s have the votes to pass whatever they want. Break the philabuster and do it or it’s their responsibility to compromise.

If anyone needs an explanation of the philibuster I’m happy to help.

1.  Just common sense.   In a fight with AOC and he needs to look almost as crazy as her.   He is old and shoudl be out to pasture but he doesn't think so and wants another term.   So he is doing what he has to to look better than AOC.   So he is leading the charge.

2.   He was absolutely not for shutting the govt down the last time, now he was the first on board, no hesitating, no second guessing.   All over shutting down the govt.   See item 1.

So, vibes are what you’re using to denigrate someone.
btw Schumer’s term goes until ‘29. I’m guessing he’ll retire then. No need to play to a primary. Just the glee of effing 47 at every turn.

Shut things down twice during 45. Happy to let him fight this fight. Y’all are tying yourselves in knots trying to carry water for the lies Reps tell  about immigrants. No data. No info. Just vibes and… fear.
