I bet Cael and the entire staff are canned in the next 60 days

Who would think smilin' Beau Bartlett would be the one to bring down the Evil Empire?

Iowa fans must be doing backflips of joy right now.

Jimmy is offering you easy money!

I'd take the bet but every time I've done so he's backed out.  You might be able to fool him with that can of sauce.

I think it's clear it means no Bo.  Maybe Blaze and Duke flip too.

The perfect recipe for a Jimmy thread   only better if he had Duke and Blaze flipping to Iowa.

Hey Vak please share how you felt when you started your thread 3 hours ago. I bet that was exhilarating when you first learned of this, huh. Iowa has been taken it hard here for a few weeks so this is now your opportunity. Of course JC is gonna chime in. 😎

This is your response to the very serious news coming out of PSU, to make it about Iowa?

The only thing that felt good was that I felt that Bartlett had taken some unwarranted shade from the community and from his own fans.  And I made a great joke about Bartlett and his wrestling offense.  The actual allegations are disturbing, though.

Honestly, they deserve to be cooked.

I have been a huge supporter for a long time, but this is the epitome of "all your eggs in one basket" as a sport.

If this goes south, this will be a problem that takes the better part of the next decade to come back from.

People talk about the OSU sanctions back in the 80's and early 90's being bad, this will be worse.  And frankly, it should be.  Wrestling historically has a problem of not holding highest performers to the standards of human decency.

In the past people have often sited Sanderson has having a "dry" sense of humor.  In retrospect, it is really starting to just sound like another instance of athletic sociopathy, where the only thing that matters is winning, and apparently truly winning at all costs.

Gable had standards, Smith appeared to at least require some human decency from his athletes.  This issue with this is it casts a pall on the entire program, and everyone in the entire room for the entire time that someone like this was around.  And frankly, it should.  Bartlett is brave for doing what he did, and saying what he did.  That takes incredible conviction and courage as a young man, but it is also a massive indictment of the powers that be in the institution that empowered negative actors for such a long time.

With how tightly the coaches have that program under lock and key, there's not a chance in hell that the coaches didn't know about this.

Ben Askren, come back healthy please, we need you now more than ever.

This offseason plus the grey area violations of Cael’s early days at PSU would make firings and sanctions inevitable in a revenue sport.

This is a rare instance where I don't think Jimmy is being sensationalistic.

Lesser scandals have taken down bigger names, and those didn't take place at the site of the most notorious scandal in college sports history.

I expect no one to agree with this but in a weird way, perhaps allegations like this (if true) may break this dynasty up so other schools get a shot at the greatest coming out of HS. As a PSU fan, I never liked that only a few schools take in many of the nations best. I’d like the sport better if high level talent was somehow dispersed more equally. Now that big $$$ has entered the scene Im not sure things will ever be the same in college wrestling.

PB, I’m just SO disgusted with this and other previous incidents tarnishing our sport. Probably should have thought before posting. You’re right.
