In this scenario, it sounds like Cael was made aware that someone stole from Beau Bartlett. It sounds like he reported it to the University PD, who reviewed footage and identified two guys as persons of interest. 

1) If that is as far as Cael/coaching staff's knowledge of the problem(s) goes, they are fine. 

2) If any member coaching staff knew that Carter was harming anyone, they should be fired. End of story.

Beau and Mark, a former teammate who requested anonymity due to fear of retaliation, alleged Starocci took nonconsensual explicit photos of them in the Nittany Lions’ locker room. Beau said the photos were reported to Sanderson along with the theft, but nothing came of it from the coach.

his girlfriend somehow found multiple girls who had the same story to tell, and instead of going to police, she decides to go to starocci's girlfriend instead? yea, that makes a TON of sense. I wonder where she learned how to investigate sexual crimes and how to find victims so easily that the police and university couldn't find. she is a real crime stopper!!!

Still catching up with this thread, but yeah, that article is pretty shocking but at the same time not 100% surprising. Starocci has always been about flexing power and asserting his will upon others in toxic ways. Even the milder stuff that dripped out before all this, like the way he'd allegedly hand pick guys from the lineup and have them show up hours before practice to wrestle live with him; or made Barr wrestle with him and wouldn't let him go, supposedly after 4 hours. Maybe it's one of the reasons why Ryder bailed too. 

Starocci and the PSU staff need to FO after all this FA.

But, based on the fact that security footage was reviewed, and two people of interest were subsequently identified, I'm guessing that means Cael or another coach contacted the PD, as required.

Weird response to my statement that it is not a nothing burger.   Does it make it okay if Cael did nothing wrong?

Beau also said he report the naked pictures to the coach as well.   

Again, I do think the source matters, especially when they are putting their reputation on the line.   It sure seems like Beau had the expectation that something would happen after he reported it and whatever that was, it did not occur.  

Don't worry, I seriously doubt the winningest coach in State College will take the fall for this.   Bassett will probably still commit to PSU and they will dominate next season and beyond.   Nothing to see hear...

Not saying you're wrong but I've seen plenty of victims go to the current GF and still be afraid to go to police. Have you heard of the facebook group "have you dated that guy before?" ....that's basically the entire premise and it's very common for people to go that route, also very common for them to exaggerate so I'm not saying Carter is guilty just that the way this is being reported is not exonerating him either.

the victims didn't go to Starocci's girlfriend, they went to bartletts girl. this smells fishy. seems like bartlett might just be married to a complete psychopath. I bet she is the one who called the newspaper as well.

It doesn't mean there was a crime provable beyond all reasonable doubt; however, a serious contributor to PSU success has put his name and quotes behind it.   That, in and of itself, tells me this is not a "nothing burger"
