Melvin Miller just released a revised school list... without Iowa.  Caption "family first."

Something happened.

Where are you hearing these stories.

I haven’t seen it, but Basch and Willie discussed slumlord Bob making a post on HR or whatever it’s called these days saying something to the effect of “Jordan Williams and Gabe Arnold need to figure it out.”

No idea if that’s the reason.  Is it possible he pulled the offer?

Ok hear me out on this

He wants OkSt

OkSt said we need the market to settle

He wants to train with RBY

RBY defected to Mexico

Tariffs were too much uncertainty for Pistols Blazin Chad

Bo found a strong offer which he used as leverage

HR wouldn't accept his resignation after the signing bonus so he had to find a medical issue

47 went from no wars to invading Los Angeles and bombing Iran

Tariffs will quietly walk back

Boklahoma State confirmed

Some of you people don't even get geopolitics I swear

His post makes it sound like he thinks he runs/owns the team.

I give Jordan's shot to be on the team at one chance in two. The reason I am posting this is because if he is on the team, he needs everyone to encourage him to "Live the Wrestler Life", not the party boy life. You can bet I will. There are consequences to this detrimental behavior. Same with Gabe in other ways. I'll be all over them.

Does he start all over with 50+?  I think Campbell would be a good fit.

it's a really weird post and someone should tell him to stop. Regarding Gabe though, in a preseason presser last year Tom Brands made an offhand comment about Gabe and his off season activities. I think Bob was referring to Gabe not living "The Wrestler Life" as opposed to disparaging his mental health struggles. It was still a bad post though.

With the way things are going, I do wonder if we will have General Manager type roles in college athletics soon

It sure seems like something happened now. It's passive aggressive to do that.

Yeah just read it.  @VakAttack my first thought was something similar to what you posted in there.  Seems weird that he’d say “I’ll never say a bad word about Iowa” immediately after saying Iowa “didn’t fit his wrestling and faith journey.”

Given NLWC’s preference for prostitutes, I’m thinking they probably don’t fit his faith journey either.  OSU It is

They could use a GM to manage this guy and to tell him to shut the ***duck** up. You don't want your biggest donor making comments like that. The public has no idea if Gabe Arnold likes to party or whatever about living a wrestler life. Why say anything negative. It already seems like Gabe doesn't handle the fanfare well in the first place.

Also, the man has a superiority complex. And I understand why. He is important to Iowa wrestling. But to pretend he has an influence on the wrestlers is unhealthy.

is it ok to start calling this kid an attention whore yet?

Definitely not.  1) the kid is a kid.  2) he’s working out the best place for him during the most pivotal point of his life.  3) even if I don’t like the histrionics of social media, he’s been able to build something for himself already.  Let him do his thing.

Call him what you want but he's built a large enough social media following that he can probably get legitimate compensation for it.

IDK seems like a weird time to tout his status as a role model.

Not gonna lie it does bother me a little bit  that he made such a big deal about his “commitment”, but then changed it anyway.
