Wasn't a riot.

It was civilian pushback when military level "somebodies" massively rolled into their neighborhood without any warning or known reason.

The civilians asked questions, and these "somebodies" gave them no answers as they grabbed up and hauled civilians away.

Undercover operations occur all the time. Police, Sheriff, etc. and they follow a protocol that is safe for them and safe for civilians. This was not one of those operations. We have a need for undercover operations. But this wasn't one of them.

This was a purposely staged public event used as a show of force by "somebodies" against civilians.

This is not OK.

Secret operations against civilians is the work of Russia or China, not the US. This was incredibly disappointing.

tell us, oh wise one, WHAT was needed in this situation?

“The FBI went down to the infamous East Lake Street in south Minneapolis, near the epicenter of the 2020 George Floyd riots. Agents were there this afternoon to execute a court-ordered search warrant, in a high-risk criminal drugs and money laundering case.

Given the geography, the FBI wasn’t kidding around: Homeland Security and ATF agents were there for backup, with logistical support from the local police and Sheriff’s office. The FBI took no chances, bringing more than enough manpower, firepower, and horsepower.

But with DHS personnel involved, and the site being at or near a Mexican restaurant, false reports went out to the local activist community that a massive ICE raid was in progress.”

It was a raid against human trafficking illegal immigrants.  You want them to send a notice? Maybe get permission from the locals?

What about the reports that this was drug and or trafficking related ?   I don’t know why the Feds put with locals getting in the way of criminal investigations / proceeds.   They should arrest arresting them too.   Does not take to much of that before they stop.

Might have been for a couple?  You know this how ?  There are still kids in school near where I’m at. No masks required for the kids and I haven’t witnessed anyone wearing one.  Throw a protest out there in wokesterville MPLS and that’s what ya get.

So you know this based on how? Based on where are you at?

Where are you at?

I don't understand why people don't want to take the time or minimal effort to get actual details on a situation in favor of coming to an anonymous message board with some strong stance that only shows how misinformed they are.   No immigration raid here, no human trafficking, no military intervention.   It was simply investigating a drug and money laundering case, at two locations owned by the same person (the second location just didn't have all of the citizens thinking they had the right to interfere) backed by a federal search warrant.  In other words....something that happens, legally and rightfully, in America every day.  Well, minus the cast of PCU thinking they had something to protest about.

There are 3 to 5000 examples of what you’re talking about on this very message board.

Exactly. Not a riot, not a raid... it was a "criminal investigation" using search warrants to collect information. As was done in other locations the same day.

The problem was that misinformation was abundant, and the neighborhood residents are not very trusting due to recent historical events.

When military level vehicles rolled into their neighborhood, with masked agents in camo fatigues carrying assault weapons. (ICE agents also there.) The residents naturally started to prepare for the worst.

As I've already posted - investigations can take the entire situation into account and can be done quickly, quietly and professionally.

Or they can roll in "military style" with big camo trucks and scary looking guys in fatigues with guns as an intimidation tactic. And make a big unnecessary show of power. That just takes the problem from 1 to 10.

These folks weren't going to be intimidated in their own neighborhood. Nor should they be. Nor should anybody in their own neighborhood. All of you and myself included.

No, it wasn't.

You're just repeating what the guy in the original video blurted out because he heard someone say that.

Nice of you to tell me what I was thinking :

Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt said her office was a part of this federal operation, including a deputy assigned to human trafficking.

Maps have already been posted for the dummies in the back.

Proximity to the border isn't the measure used to determine the AQI.

Yep they use a color chart based on the AQI.  This is so people like you have a chance to understand it.   Let us know when you learn your colors.

So they all hid their faces with masks to protest something they knew nothing about.  Got it.

Except that... that's not AT ALL what she said.

They were not part of this federal operation. Period. None at all. Full stop.
