So how does Trump make money on this deal?   Not talking about side money like SS agents in hotels etc.   They will have to go where he goes and stay where he stays.   That's part of the deal.   He has above the board hotels that he may choose to stay at, but may choose not to.   He may go to a place where he has no hotel.   The question is how does he make money on this deal?   Please be clear and concrete in your explanation.

Does he have to make money for it to be corruption? He just radically changed US foreign policy towards Qatar by breaking with Israel's ceasefire conditions. And then we find out the Qatar government is giving him a $400 million dollar plane? If that plane had anything to do with his decision, it's corruption.

But beyond that, I think he's earned a lot skepticism in this area. He was the first President not to divest from his private businesses. He's done a ton of self-dealing, both through his campaigns and the government. His businesses charged the government for millions during his first term. He charged his own campaign for even more, effectively laundering political donations into business profit.

So asking people to believe that he's going to donate the plane to his presidential library (which is already unbelievably wasteful) and then not use it is asking a lot. If he's truly not doing this for personal benefit, the plane should be passed on to the next president or left in the hands of the DOD for whatever they want to use it for.

I would expect JD Vance, or whoever the next president is, to have taken delivery of Boeing’s aircraft. You know the one Trump should be flying around and right now.

Is the 4.4 Billion the Clinton Foundation stole from the Haitian people in 2010 an "Unbelievable level of grift"?  When the Haitian people got only 2% of donations and only 6 houses were built.    How about Chelsea Clinton pocketing about 90 Million of that. How about the 45 Million Obama has collected from Obamacare at 2.5 Million a year.

This makes no sense.   It is not his airplane.   It is the government's if they ever actually receive it.   If it goes to the library it will still be the gov's airplane.   At no time will it be in Trump's legal possession.  I think this has more to do with Trump in your mind than it has to do with the plan and the facts in the case.  I think you have taken this as far as is possible.

Pretty silly comparison being that 1600 Penn Ave will be used by many future presidents to come, not transferred to the current presidents foundation.

IF, IF, this goes through it would go to Air Force first for retrofitting and modifying to be AF1-able.  
 

Hate to be a party pooper but this deal is far from done and set in stone.  A lot of questions to be answered.  And a lot of people, even some of Trumps strongest supporters, people that have his ear, are not fans of the idea.  It’s a long way from done, maybe we *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* sit tight and not get our parties in a bunch either way.  
 

One interesting aspect, and big question mark, is this plane does not have unlimited range, air to air refueling, like the current planes used as AF1 do.  That seems to be a pretty big shortcoming. People that matter in the decision are going to have to answer if they want to trade maximum capability for maximum luxury.

It will not be the government's plane.  If it was, it wouldn't need to change anything right before the end of his term.  You guys can bury your head and pretend otherwise to whatever extent you need to.
