Yeah, 5 losses in a few months sounds bad, until you learn they are all to Melvin Miller.  I think Dhabolt will be very good in college and has a frame that looks like he might jump up a few weight classes.

One Bob Dole for you.

He recently lost to Brody Kelly as well

He is not a 2027 but I was just doing a deep dive on Brandt Harer, I think if he was not in probably the greatest recruiting class of all time he would be about as blue chip as it gets. Super 32 champ that did not give up any offensive points. 157-2 in high school with a 111 match winning streak and to my knowledge has not given up an offensive point since his freshman year.

Truzz- really good point about blue chips being dudes but maybe we don’t talk about them bc we have had some outrageously deep deep classes that just have outrageous talent and accolade. I mean all the world medals (additionally bc kids are wrestling for other countries which I am fine with) that just add to already crazy resumes. I think sometimes people don’t realize just how close the high up recruits are to college guys. I mean you see it at u20s and the amount of HS kids at college opens winning lots of matches is insane. Then you have like Duke and Forrest and it’s just crazy. Probably doesn’t have people talking about some kids that are obviously very very good and very very blue like we should. The US just keeps getting better and kids are getting really good younger and younger.

He's unbelievably good. I'm very high on him.

Harer is awesome. I am 99% sure he gave up an offensive point to Mutarelli in 2023 at the Cumberland Valley Kickoff Classic. Harer did win that match 4-3, however. I wish I could go back and check, but Flo decided to migrate all the old Track results to Flo and have it never work for old events.

Did mutarelli turn him? I feel like Mutarelli was turning everyone that season.

Overrated? Or you don't think he'll pan out in college relative to his current HS rank? Because there's a big difference.

If you think he's overrated, I'll argue with you until I'm blue in the face on that. 2nd at Super 32 (loss to Melvin Miller), loss at WNO to Miller, went 5-2 at Elite 8 Duals (both losses to Miller), 3rd at Fargo (loss to Miller in semis). Those are arguably four of the toughest HS events, and he only lost to Miller (who's a generational talent) at all of them. I don't think that's overrated.

Now if you think he won't pan out in college relative to his current HS rank, I can't speak on that because I honestly haven't watched many of his matches. I just see his results.

He deserves to be ranked no.2, but I don’t think he’ll out preform expectations. He Wreslted tough, has good positioning, but I don’t see a diverse offensive aresnal. He lost to Brody Kelly at PNL a few weekends ago as well

Carter Chunko to Rutgers. #49 c/o 2027. Saw it on X. Apologies if this was already reported. Thread moving along quickly.

Rutgers assistant Steve Mytych wrestled in hs under Don Rohn. Chunko is Rohn's grandson.

it's a shame. he has a ton of ability.

i believe it has something to do w/ academics

Any chance we see him go Juco to get his academics in order and then transfer in?
