Willie said on Basch and the brain yesterday that Shamus Regan is down to three schools. Army Iowa and Mizzou. Didn’t give a timeline for committing though.

I'd expect O'Farrill to beat him out for the 172 spot, which would force him back up. I think he's a 165/174 in college

O'Farrill has a torn labrum, so I do not think we see him this year unfortunately.

Llandro Soto Rivera commits to ISU, I think he was a 2027, was in S32 MS same as Dean’s 8th grade year. Wrestling at Ames High I think. U17 5th at worlds. Mostly FS accolade at this point as he is originally from Puerto Rico and maybe spent some time at Lake Highland Prep? Either way commits rolling in for ISU.

Nothing to do with this but I was not aware Dean spent his free time doing Elton John covers!

Sorry late response. Was in Reno with my team and stayed Sunday to watch Dean in college open Did not see any Elton John covers

My team took 9th, 138 Justin Beauvais beat Hernandez (Bosco 11 at 32), ohearn, and orbieta back to back to back and made the finals. 
 

Dean took 5th lost in 1/4 to a Wyoming kid, went 5-1. Have to make semi to go for 3/4.  Truzz you will like his 5/6 match gritty ride out in 3rd. Been a good slew of college tournies for him, won Embry Riddle and Doane Opens. 
 

flight cancelled Sunday so bonus day in Reno. . Flying home now.

I will watch his matches on flo I did not get to as much high school as I wanted to this weekend with work and the college stuff so I need to go back. Love that he is getting a lot of reps with the college guys, I think getting a feel for just grinding out positions and dealing with guys that are just grippy and looking to slow you down is invaluable for young guys.

Managing 7 min matches, riding time, and edge wrestling are things that are hard to replicate in HS. Spoke with two high level HS kids this weekend and they both said they wish they could get in some college matches during their season. Definitely a benefit of VCP. Really good stuff for the HS guys if they can get it because most teams can’t do the national event weekly circuit.

Interesting list, kind of an array on there. Kid is really good, interested to see where he ends up.

LHP has really overtaken Malvern the last year or two as the third premier east coast prep school. I think they could be coming for Sem soon as well.
