You wingers are complete idiots. You don't realize that a large part of this is the free fall of the dollar. As a result, my silver ETFs have done much better than your stocks (even though I have plenty of thar too but more internstional).

Also.  You didn’t predict silver  going up. You predicted Trump would tank the stock market.  Your honesty and truth factor isn’t good here so I don’t think many believe you are telling the truth.

also.  I put all my money on these 5 stocks in January

PLTR.   Actually work with them sometimes.

NEM, STX, GEV, and WDC

Please supply a graph of some data points let’s say since 2010 or 2000 ish.  Graph that until 2025.  I’m asking for the value of the dollar.  Please show that

Policy Peeve - The target inflation rate should be ZERO.  Not 2%.  A downhill slope of 2% ad infinitum is the road to perdition and we are on it.

Try to prove me wrong.  And just try the "Deflation causes spontaneous human combustion and the end of the universe as we know it.  It is worse than crossing the streams." argument for a start to your failure.

Classically the reason for a small positive target is that it is nearly impossible to hit a target with precision. Since central banks are trying to avoid deflation they shoot for a modest positive growth rate.

As for negative growth (deflation), it is bad for the economy writ large as it encourages businesses to delay investments (or not make them at all) and individuals to delay spending while both hoard cash. Deflation then leads to negative interest rates to discourage savings/encourage investmemts and try to reverse the above trends.

Yes.  And this is flawed, classsically.  "Modest positive growth" sounds so nice but it is actually continual insidious devaluation of your work, savings, value, wealth, precious life energy applied in the past, and the currency.  Nothing is growing except for empty promises with a target inflation level not equal to zero.

Historical data shows an average currency devaluation of 3.2% per year.  So targeting a "small positive" number is much more like a floor of 2%.  So if we target Stable Valuable Currency we probably will end up with about 1 - 2% inflation anyway.

If the target is zero then small, TRANSITORY (!!, yep, I said it) deflation will have no effect on behavior.  70% of the economy is consumer spending which is fairly immune to small perturbations in prices.  If anything, small deflation will increase demand and therefore add to jobs.  Has the drop in the costs for gas since Biden and the drop in the costs for computers over the past 25+ years led to economic Armageddon?  Nope.

Additionally, transitory deflation will not affect the behavior of consumers living paycheck to paycheck.  So the deflation chupacabra is a big scary make believe monster to scare us into accepting a constant degradation that should not be tolerated.

Systemic long term deflation such as during the Great Depression is a completely different animal, may lead to the behaviors indicated under a worst case scenario, and not in the scope of the discussion of what the target for the Value of the Currency should be.

The "classical" argument for 2% continuous currency devaluation fails.

Next candidate.

I mean. A professional geologist work-a-holic working 80 hours a week sustained for years and years and years is likely to be an Econ expert.   Throw in super time consuming flag burning parties and lots of protesting on the weekends ….  I don’t know how you have the time in “this narrative” to also have gone out and become an expert on the economy.

I mean we “already know” you’re a big time expert on stock market predictions too.

you have no limits to your awesome ness do you.

This is just priceless coming from you given every single "prediction" you have made on the economy and has never happened...and quite frankly the exact opposite has happened.  🤣  Seems like you may be the one who needs to take econ 101.  😂

He was wrong about Trump ruining everything

...but also he was correct about gold and silver killing it.  Pictured are different indexes showing Gold and Silver crushing the S&P, Dow Jones, and NASDAQ.

I don’t recall him predicting silver.  (That doesn’t mean I’m right).   I thought he gloomed onto it and said he is making $ off of it.   Like saying I bought palantir at $5 and I’m a genius

(I did not buy palantir at $5)…. But I did get in on nvidia early well pre split and that one is working out just fine

Failure number 2 to disprove the hypothesis presented - that the only reasonable and logical currency devaluation target should be 0%.  The 2% hypothesis and resulting policy has not served it purpose nor the American people well.
