Yes, the win over Gable basically makes all the other Hodge criteria fly out the window...

So what are you renaming the Hodge then? The "Biggest win of the year award because we threw Hodge criteria out the window"?

Interesting that Wyatt has the lowest bonus percentage

But his dominance score is out of reach of both MM and Carter.

And out of Carter and Wyatt, only Carter needed OT to beat his opponents (Keck and Max). Wyatt season is the definition of pure dominance with all the wins in regulation.

He was dominant all year. He averaged 5.15 team points. MM and Carter weren't even close. MM had zero pins. Carter was taken to overtime.

Like the Heisman, the Hodge is a season-season award given to the wrestler who gets the most amount of first-place votes from the Hodge Trophy Voting Committee and Fan Vote based on these criteria: record, dominance/bonus-point percentage, quality of competition and sportsmanship.

The above is from WIN site.  When did they remove past accomplishments?  (I posted on another thread - figured better here)

Either 2020 or 2021.

Up until 2019 there were four criteria and three secondary criteria that could be used to separate finalists who had similar credentials (past credentials, sportsmanship/citizenship, heart).

There were no criteria mentioned in 2020.

In 2021 and after, only the four main criteria are mentioned. At the same time pins as a criteria was replaced with dominance/bonus-point percentage.

Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge

Best call imo is to give it to hendrickson. I wouldn't be devestated if they gave one to star too but I'm not a fan of the dual hodge tbh

Yeah I guess I wouldn't be mad at giving two Hodges this year, given the circumstances of both guys achievements.

His (Wyatt) bonus wins are PINS!!!!!!!! Which is a higher bonus than majors and techs.
