With the arrival of Masanosuke Ono to Penn State do the defections begin? Facundo already in the portal. Sealey rumored to be gone.  Another monster has entered the Penn State lineup and their is now proof bench guys such as TB can AA, will others join suit? Also will the improvements that the Okie coaching staff made with Hendrickson and Hamiti make that the obvious landing spot?

I think Ono should RS, but he seems pretty flexible about weight. He's been saying he can wrestle freestyle at 57, 61, or 65 and joked that Cael said anywhere between 125-157 would be cool. So that kind of helps with the lineup.

What's up with Nagao? Is he healthy? Hard to tell where his transfer & NIL stock is at

PSU starter going to OKST would be epic.

Two of them would be even more epic.

What's more is if you slot Duke (157) and Ryder (174) they still win the team title easily.

Both are PA boys and seem pretty happy at Penn State.  Why would they move to Oklahoma?

David Taylor protege.

M2 kids.  Maybe try to get the magic back, straight from the Magic Man himself.  However, their families being in PA would be an issue.

Barring any personality issues, if any of the PSU mid-upper weights transfer out, Okie State would be a good place.

Probably not a lot to clean up technique wise (as was done with Hamiti and Hendrickson), but a lot of common items via Sanderson/Cunningham/Taylor.

Seems like a great fit for both parties.

How so? OSU needs a 133. I'm sure Davis spent some training with Gilman/Kennedy when they were at PSU.

Does OSU need a 133? They have McComas and Sakamoto coming out of redshirt. It's possible, but it doesn't seem like the best landing spot necessarily.

Both of those guys are unproven, although I see a lot of potential in both. Davis is a proven commodity, going R12 and 6th without ever redshirting. It's a no brainer.

Davis didn't get 6th.

I would argue that he was taken down by Frost in the bloodround and shouldn't have even placed this year. I don't think it's a given that he repeats this years tournament. But more importantly, I think when you are trying to establish a new culture as a second year head coach, bringing an outsider in over 2 highly talented guys coming out of redshirt could be a risk. That being said, the OKST coaching staff knows what they have better than I do, and if they don't see the potential in those two guys to make an impact this year, then you're right. It would be a no brainer.
