It's really more about how he carries himself.  Will constantly pull out the "I'm not a journalist" card when he's proven wrong, but will proudly show off every time a major media outlet quotes him in an article about wrestling.  Will egg Iowa on and on but will be up in arms if you point out what he is doing is some weak trolling bait.  Claims to be "trying to do right by the kids," but will cry up a storm when a parent tells him not to make posts about her son.  Hell, he's even started referring to Dean Peterson as "our last 125lber" because the kid expressed not being happy with how he was sharing his transfer to Iowa and sharing their text messages to anyone who questioned the validity of his statements.

To put it bluntly, he is a parasite who feeds off the groundwork of others (whether it be wrestlers, coaches or journalists) in order to appear like a "prominent figure" in this small community because he couldn't do it on the mat.

Elam to Michigan makes no sense because he has no international ties going back at least seven generations. Bormet pinches his nose if he even thinks of someone trying to make a US team instead of finding a new passport.

Minnow is that one dopey guy you'd see around in college who would literally ask every single girl if they wanted to hook up, get slapped a few hundred times, but loudly declare victory the one or two times it actually worked

Maybe at first.

Now he's only getting slapped a few dozen times.

As much of a pot-stir as he might be, his accuracy now is considerably higher than it used to be.  5% is 10x greater than 0.5%, though.

Can't imagine Soldano getting down to 174 at this point, eventhough it's probably it's his best chance to find sustained success and where RU fans hoped he would go next season.

Parker is a returning bloodround guy who happens to be someone that Kish brought with him from ND State.  So I dont see him being replaced.  Maybe Parker bumps up to 197 and Bradley Hill steps back from the starting lineup?  Few different possibilities I suppose.

If Pinto goes to Rutgers like Willy predicts, then they will have five wrestlers and two coaches from district eleven.

Ayden Smith (NDGP)
Brandan Chletsos (NDGP)
Tahir Parkins (Nazareth)
Dagen Condomitti (Northampton)
Lenny Pinto (Stroudsburg)

Steve Mytych (Northampton)
Mikey Labriola (Becahi)

Curious to see where Nebraska goes with at 74/84 now. Do we see Ty Elise and LJ Arajuo at 74/84 now or do we see them try to pick up someone through the portal. Or does Allred stay at 84 and McDanel doesn’t redshirt. Also where do they go at 49 and HWT?

I’m sad to see Rocky go, but I get it. Little money to be had from wrestling post-college, so gotta take it when you can.

I’d like to see him head to Iowa honestly. Willie and Basch were talking about an insane lineup with Caliendo dropping to 57, can’t remember who they said at 65, then Arnold at 74, Ferrari at 84. Now if you add Elam at 97, holy smokes!

Sad to see Pinto go. Blood round the last two years. Minto will be wrestling 174lbs IMO next season. Burroughs said Minto had a tough cut to 165lbs and was a short timer at 165lbs. Was hoping to see one more year of Minto, Pinto, Allred and McDaniels.

Not asking you directly per se.  How come the rhetoric around NIL is you gotta leave to get a bag of $$$$$$.   You can stay and get a bag (hypothetically) right?  Is the nil market similar to corporate America where it’s often easier to get more $ or a good promo by leaving???

dream scenario -

149lbs - Lachlan McNeil - UNC

HWT - Isaac Trumble - NC State (Nebraska kid).

since we have your attention as a Husker fan - who do you see winning out between Koehler and Laurisden?  Have they been close in the room?

Lauridsen beat Koehler 7-1 in wrestle offs. I’m not sure if that gap closed over the course of the season.

My guess in this situation is that Mizzou simply doesn’t have the donors/NIL funds that Iowa/Michigan/tOSU has. It’ll depend on where he goes, but there are likely two scenarios. One he hears about the bags of money wrestlers are getting by entering the portal + a better RTC, or two he’s following his brother to Rutgers. Mizzou has a serious lack of RTC now that J’Den left (look at ASU’s transfers after Sunkist closed), and I believe he has/had international aspirations.

A guy of Elam’s caliber, who can compete with Barr and AJ, should command a lot of cash.

Quick reply.  I obviously have no facts.  You’re silly to go into the portal with “hopes” of $$$.  They’re upfront negotiating imo.   No way they are not.  Hard to “quit your job”.  Then say you opsied and didn’t.  Age old corporate American adage.   Don’t make a threat you aren’t willing to make good on.

I base half my speculation on …. They spend (the big xfers) almost no time in the portal before deciding as if money fell out of the sky in 48 or 24 hours.  Time will tell with this one obviously
