Aren’t they pretty crowded at the middle weights?

The hint from TSL is VT fans are very familiar with one of the coaches [at Hip’s new school].

I would guess Maryland (Brascetta) before Iowa State (Dresser).

Pretty sure he can beat out Paniro or Aidan Riggins.

He lost to Paniro this year, did worse at NCAAs, and doesn't have the quality wins Paniro has. Not exactly a sure bet to beat him out

Hips-olito would be a great pickup for Maryland... why have DNC, when he was already contacted and will be contacted now that he is in the portal...oh yeah, that's only for coaches sometimes.

Does a kid actually have to enter the portal to move schools?  According to Damien Hahn the Iowa kids just showed up in his office asking to join the team and we’re never in the portal.

Not just ANY portal either. He has to step into THIS portal:

Is this his 9th or 10th year in college?

No kdding!  Does Cannon have a bunch of brothers who wrestled D1 as well? That's a name that's always kicking around in college wrestling.

All joking aside, Chris will *only* be 26 when he finishes his college wrestling career.

Kurt McHenry in the portal!

How?

Edit: I imagine 2023-24 will be a medical.

McHenry graduated from Michigan with a major in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and earned a Business Management Foundation Certificate from Penn State. Wherever he goes next will probably be more academically influenced than wrestling influenced.  His original list of schools is below when he was a prospect.  I'd throw UVA in the mix as well with a great academic reputation and a place close to home.  I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to a great school that doesn't have D1 wrestling either.

He could have started for Michigan last year, do they have anyone this year? Would he go back?
