Teemer Iowa vs Fish OkSt

Boom!!  Teemer quick double TD.
Fish now has whizzer.
OOB

optional start, release

Fish shot, T reshot.  Scramble to a Peterson position for Teemer.  TD awarded … swipes!   Ok.  No pts for backs.

Official review.  That was a TD.  Ok good, TD awarded. No nearfall given timing of TD award.

Fish out.  6-2.  Teemer double.  Fish whizzer.  Nada.

2d pd - Teemer not much of a rider. Fish out.  6-3.  Fish shot resulting in head to Teemer face.  Ref stops to allow recovery.  Stalling Teemer called on restart.  I think.  But then a double - TD Teemer.  Fish gets esc at end.  9-4

3rd T down.  T has 1:09 of RT.  Fish riding.  Teemer flats. Parallel.  Fish has one leg in.  Stalling green, pt Fish.

Fish basically lets him go.  10-5 … OOB, stall teemer!  10-6.  Teemer wins.

It will be interesting to see how Teemer holds up at B1G and NCAA Tournaments.  Barely made it through this match tonight.

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

Teemer isn't going back to the NCAA finals.   No cardio and he can be ridden.

If he hits that double a few times a match he'll be fine.  He did what he needed to and then shut it down.

The guy running the clock seemed like he was (inadvertently?)  trying to "carver" Fish out of riding time.  The RT clock kept accruing for Teemer for more than 20 seconds while Fish rode him.   They may have corrected it, and it didn't make a difference in the end, but it looked, um, "Fishy" on TV at least.

I would have expected Sakamoto to be much worse on bottom since he never had to care about that his entire life

I also expected him to be better on his feet. I saw nothing to get excited about. I know it's wrestling so starters are sat on the regular, with no reason given, BUT no Witcraft OR Hughes? Gave it to a kid with ZERO college matches? Huh?
