If that wasn't targeting then there is no such thing as targeting.  Slightly lowered his helmet and hit a defenseless receiver helmet to helmet knocking him out.

Definitely thought it was targeting as it played out.  Last night I listened to someone give what I felt was a pretty good explanation why it wasn’t called.  I pulled it back up to watch through that ‘lens’.    
 

Nope, still think it was targeting.  Definitely lowered his head even though he didn’t get to the crown of the helmet, he definitely lowered his head and the helmet made first contact.  He had the opportunity to lower his level and blast double.

Been a Penn State football fan since I was born. Dad was roommates with Jack Ham. I wore Penn State shirts to football games at my school (Illinois) when they hosted Penn State. I hate Tom Osborne with the fire of a thousand suns.

I am obligated to take Penn State.

I am an SC/Alabama fan.   So I want to see Texas win but PSU and tOSU will probably win.   They are looking very strong.  

Interestingly, these teams would not have been in the mix last year with their end of year rankings.   We are really seeing the best team coming forward this year I think.

I have felt for years that the Football selection Committee had been dodging bullets with the 4 team playoff model. The very first year when Ohio State won it, they were really 5th or 6th but the Big 12 didn't play a Championship game which knocked them out and put Ohio State in when they beat Wisconsin 59 to 0 for the Big Ten Championship. Ohio State won with their 3rd string quarterback Cardale Jones.

Both Penn State & Texas would've been in.  PSU finished 4th in the last CFP Rankings & Texas 3rd

I dont know why this has become such a common theme.  PSU is better than Notre Dame in most positions if not equal too.  Maybe ND is a better in the secondary but it's not like their QB is a stud and the PSU secondary (which is elite) will get torched

Lots of people thought Georgia could line up against them, too.

Georgia was playing with a QB in his first ever start.  Not easy to do against a really solid defense.

I liked ND making the final when the brackets came out.  Just the way they have been playing ball is good playoff football.  Very solid all over.  ND/PSU had the makes of a great great game.

ND is a very physical team and well built for the playoffs.  It's a true toss up.  Anyone saying otherwise is just being a homer which is totally ok.   Makes it more fun
