Incorrect.   My observation stands.   You don't care about the gulf yet took the time (how much is immaterial) to find two articles about it.   But you took zero time to find articles that bolster your opinion regarding the things you do care about, Panama and Greenland.  That is not tangential.   You are the one that posted it and then said you don't care about it.   I just observed it.

Odd that Dem left-wingers seem opposed.  With global warming an all would think they'd want a nice moderate temp undeveloped land mass to re-locate.

I just made a post about some dummy being a dick instead of promoting discussion (aka forum stuff.) Which I'm not terribly concerned with.

But I care quite a bit more about both the Panama Canal and Greenland BS fiascos going on right now.

So - according to your logic - what message are you receiving?

That the 1st one is somehow more important to me based on sequence? Or the 2nd one is less important to me because I haven't posted on it quite yet?

Or maybe just your "interesting" observation... which would be hella uninteresting if that's the case.

Correction:

Trump's very active social media team is trolling everyone of "us". And then will get back to trolling after reviewing the results and devising a new troll plan. To them, we're rats in a maze and they are throwing out cheese. And they do this all day, everyday.

If this is somehow something you're looking for in a Presidential leadership... then, you're about to get more. Keep celebrating it as if you are some kind of insider. But to them, you're just another rat.

Australia has guns, it's just a lot of people don't need them. People have hunting rifles and such now, but before they had a few episodes where mass shootings happened and passed laws to make sure guns were more restricted. You know, common sense. I personally don't think more guns is a good answer to mass shootings or criminals. Most civilians with guns don't shoot them enough or practice enough to be proficient in a combative situation. It's like owning an F1 car and saying you could be a pro race car driver, but you only drive it once a month or something.

I'm absolutely against the idea of forcibly taking any land and find it shameful that our President is presumably trolling about it.  Who's to say he is not being serious.  But, for argument sake.  Lets say we could purchase it.  I've yet to see one counterargument that it would be a bad deal.  If anything it would be extremely advantageous on many levels

I could see it as a very bad idea. Suppose Greenland went for it. Now we have the added expenses of not just taking care of the entire population of Greenland, which isn't big, but it's remote, isolated and more expensive to maintain. Not to mention being responsible for defending, administering, and dealing with a massive new territory, that is largely unexplored. Then there's other considerations, such as how to handle local conditions, disasters that may happen, etc. To a lot of people that doesn't sound complicated, but it is. Also transportation for anything coming or going is massively expensive. 

My guess is Trump is saying this for one of two reasons. One, somebody told him it's full of untapped resources which if we owned we could mine or take. Or two, he is saying this to distract from other problems that he knows are coming.
