What would prompt someone or an organization to hire a hitman to take out a CEO of a large Health Care Company?

Well there could be business or personal reasons.  I'm sure they will figure it out.  My disappointment in the initial press event is no one asked and didn't hear any say, how far was the shooter from him.  Shot in back but seems like pretty simple info to know and release since video of the shooter and they know when/where CEO was shot.

Video released, saying ~20 feet from behind.

Apparently the perp was seen in a coffee shop shortly before the shooting.   They have his face on coffee shop video.

There are some interview vids on that crazy communist propaganda tik tok site where some uber drivers / possible witnesses said he was camped out there all night waiting for the target.

I read that the words deny, defend, and depose, were written on the shell casings.

Someone got ***ducked** by the insurance company....

United has the highest denied claim rate of all major insurance companies. Notoriously evil company. Almost every social media post they make (pre-shooting) has comments from customers begging for them to cover life-saving care. Their facebook post mourning the CEO had 10x as many "smile" reactions as "sad" or "like" reactions.

There is a very serious undercurrent of anger that is starting to bubble to surface in this country. I wonder if we'll start to see more oligarchs get shot at.

There is an alarming number of vids from people praising the murderer.   Not news clips just random humans on TikTok/youtube/instagram.

fun fact.  I’ll bet 110% of them voted blue.

The party of joy!

It is really interesting.  The killer's outfit is very familiar.  It almost as if I have seen something similar on a group of people in the past.

Sure. Vigilantism is bad.

However, health insurance, as an industry, murders 1000s of people every year. It has no justification for existence. It doesn't expand access to care. It doesn't decrease costs. It does nothing beneficial. It's sole purpose is to be a leach on the system and extract profit for rich people.

So while what happened to him is wrong, I'm not gonna pretend I'm devastated. I'm devastated for the families who were ruined under that man's leadership.

And things would be much better under single payer?

Yes. We have the worst system in world. By far the most expensive with poor health outcomes

100%. Look around the world. Not a single citizen who lives in a single payer country would trade their system for ours.

It's so funny when conservatives like @mspart fear monger about single-payer because they have to pretend that the entire rest of the developed world just....doesn't exist? America is somehow the greatest country in the world....and also the only one who can't make the world's most successful, cost effective healthcare system work?

Totally incoherent worldview.

So then the government would be killing people as you say.   That is already demonstrated.

Also if single payer is so awesome, why is BC sending cancer patients to Bellingham WA for cancer treatments and guess what, there is no line for them to wait in.   Yes, single payers is the utopia of medical care - NOT.

For more wonderful news about single payer plans look at the Indian reservations and the V.A.    Oh the VA is run so well.

I can’t imagine why millions aren’t swimming over to Europe instead of claiming asylum here.   Weird.
