Well gents the day has arrived. America's future hangs in the balance. What will Americans choose?

This election by far has been the craziest, most frustrating, and most divisive I have ever witnessed. Now we will probably have to wait several more days for the final results. Especially if it is close. There are literally 1000 lawyers in all the swing states ready to do battle. So, what say you.

I say the future, at least not to the drastic measures that people are taking about, of America does not hang in the balance of who wins today….but more so on how we the people respond to it and decide to go forward..

Yes America does not hang on the balance but maybe Smokers Meat does.  It could be four long years of salad.  But if that is what they want then let them eat salad🥗  😉

Our democracy will be partially destroyed if Trump gets elected. Not 100%, but he'll do incredible damage that will be difficult to impossible to recover from.

And the inflation that we'll see....horrible....but that will be secondary.

Well given we don't have a democracy I'd say its not possibly to partly destroy something that doesn't exist.  Yeah we may go back to that pre Biden inflation but who knows ...

What a dumb statement. It is a democracy. A representative democracy. No such thing as a pure democracy and everybody knows that.

NBC actually has a great website for the election. It shows that the percentage of voters by different parameters. By age it shows 67 percent of the votes come from 50-year-olds and older voters. For 18 to 49 they are at only 33 percent. I was surprised by those numbers. 65 and older is 39 percent of the vote.

Mail-in and early voting heavily skews older. Voting in general skews older, but it should even out a bit.

I think it will end up an electoral landslide (relatively) but a close vote. Which way?  I'm not sure.

Really? You don't have a sense one way or another? I guess in the next couple hours we may know a little more. To be honest I have no idea how this is going to go. If its close it may be a day or 2 before we know the winner.

Why do you think mail-in skews older?

The big question is did they under poll Trump this time around? If so, this could be over tonight.  That is the thing I'm watching for.

No, it seems very close.  And I should have been more clear, I meant very close in the swing states.  Trump will get smashed in the overall vote, again, but somewhat of a pointless metric at this point.

I saw some of the polls guys talking about poll herding, to make sure they're not way wrong again, and thus the polls are actually OVER sampling the Trump vote.  I think that's hopium, imo.  It's going to be tight and we won't know for several days.

If I had to pick, I'd pick Harris, but I'm biased, lol, so obviously my opinion is colored by that.

Trump will win.  Amendment 3 (weed)will pass.  Amendment 4 (abortion) will fail.  I will continue to be disgusted by DeSantis using tax dollars to campaign against both amendments, using outright lies in his campaign and suppression of free speech.  (I know you didn't ask for that last one).

I can predict my state for Pres-Harris but the ammendment & props no idea.  If you didn't research it I have no idea how you'd know the issue and why to vote one way or the other.

Pretty much agree with all this (although I’m not aware of the suppression of speech, just the lies in campaigning against)
