Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Original Statement: "Vito isn't that young! He is 25.  Does he have another entire cycle of him being the US rep left in him? "

How have goalposts changed?

Answer: They haven't.

He is not that young despite just finishing his college career.  He has been battling injuries.  He's perpetually sucked out.  He's still one of the best in the world, but his recent results seem to indicate a downward trend.

But I'm super happy with his result and will be more than happy if he continues on this path through 2028.   We need someone who is scoring points.  If not him, I hope we have someone else who can get it done.

We'll have to wade thru the rest of the bouts until we get to 92Kg... hope DT is well rested and fueled up!

Ono is just insane. Another quick tech 10-0. He gets to the leg so fast, is super physical and a hammer on top.

A 10-0 TF pasting to the Turk... Ono is amazing.

Wowza!

Vito needs to go wherever Ono is not.  Nobody is touching this kid.

Looks like Ono's toughest match was at U20 against 17-year-old Marcus Blaze from Ohio. I think the score was 7 to 2.

Japan's lower weights are insane. Huguchi, Ono, Kiyooka.. Otoguro can't even make the team. Ono got teched challenging Kiyooka for the Olympic spot.

unfortunately for those hypothetical wrestlers, it is just about the most ethnically homogeneous country on earth,

Some Ainu, some Koreans.  Both low numbers.

What is Cejudo's competition weight now?

In wrestling?  He hasn't wrestled since 2015 and that was kind of a one off possibly at a catchweight.  Earlier this year he fought in MMA at 135lbs at 37 years old.

Kentchadze is living on Magomaev's legs here.

Kentchadze wins gold via 13-4 domination of Magomaev.  Magomaev after the first minute didn't have anything for him.

Going up to 145 too, I think.

This was my point btw.  The weight gain.  With day before.
