Maybe Penn St will show up at the Double Bird Salute tournament?  Is it true Bakersfield is coming this year?

If Iowa could somehow lure Richie Fig Newton over they could make this dual interesting (Plus do to ASU what Michigan did to Northwestern)

Richie aint leaving called Parco out as a traitor before he even left

Let's see him turn down $1,000,000 first.  Parco got $500,000 and he didn't even win a NCAA title.

Oof and we just "lost" Art Martori (he aint dead) this is not happy news. ASU wrestling may be on life support for a second time.

Yea only if Penn state agrees to go to Iowa and brands only does this in years the dual is supposed to be close , if they don’t think they’ll win they don’t do it

The rumor was 500k for Buchannen and Teemer but I have to think that number is BS for a semester, that is all I have heard though.

Why do you believe it’s BS when wrestling reporters (including Willie) have stated it multiple times?  And it’s not just for a semester. It’s also to join HWC RTC.

Jacori has not wrestled freestyle since 2017 and I have no idea the last time Buchannen did I would assume high school. So to me you are paying them to wrestle for a semester I don't foresee either guys being needle movers in freestyle. So I guess I should add a semester and good workout partners. I know they have alumni with A LOT of money but I just cannot imagine spending that kind of money when their biggest recruit from this upcoming class is Leo Deluca (who is very good). Unless their intent is to just buy proven commodities who are already In college moving forward I think those funds would be better allocated to ensuring they get these big high school recruits if they can truly afford to potentially pay 3 guys 1.5 million who in my opinion I could very well be wrong will never get close to making a national team out of school.

I guess ultimately I may be underestimating the funding in wrestling and specifically at Iowas I just think its a foolish investment, it does put them in the national title hunt if some things swing their way though so perhaps it will prove to be fruitful.

He was active until 2020 U23s.  He has basically been banged up since.

Bob Nichols is very rich and wants Iowa to win a trophy badly.

I dont even understand why jacori and Iowa think theyre a good match. Jacori has a bad gas tank and backs up an insane amount. Hes not iowa style at all. I appreciated his points at ASU but his style is soooo frustrating to watch.

ReAlly is frustrating.  But he can beat anyone any day. That's exciting part.

He had strategy in finals that completely failed. I'm sure he kicks himself over that.

Made him look like was not capable . He is just bad strategy.

Will see.
