Wow - such a lack of awareness. It's OK to not understand. But it's not OK to linger there.

Ask questions. Better yourself. It's the point of a shared forum. We all improve because of it.

TPT speak right there.

a) it doesn't "require"

b) to answer the question: high taxes and pro-unions. both of which are hallmarks of the idiotic left

This 💯. Union pension plans have to regularly be bought out sooooooooooo.  Why?  Corruption

And you are WHO to make this assessment.   Look in the mirror.  You might find a bit of projection happening.

This assessment appears to fit you just as well as it fits me.

There's zero argument against the FACT that the center has completely shifted to the right. I actually used to consider myself a Republican but as the entire country has gone off the deep end to the right, I now lean left.

Basically, everything, social and fiscal, have shifted radically to the right. It's crazy.

I'd be inclined to agree with some of these concepts other than the use of the "deep end" and "radically".  Things do and always have shifted a little left or a little right.  But in recent times with the evolution of social media people tend to use the extremes to describe what is happening...we are neither "radically" right, nor "radically" left on things.  However, those that are in fact off the "deep end" right or left tend to be the ones that get the most airtime when in fact the majority of the people and government is close to the middle ideologically.

Anyway, if Biden/Harris get elected the US isn't "doomed" and vice versa, if Trump is elected the US isn't doomed either.  My personally opinion is that while I dislike Trump, I'd be WAY more worried if Biden/Harris got re-elected just based on the fact that Harris will end up leading the US and I have never once seen or heard about anything she done for the country as the VP.  And when I say "worried" I don't mean the US will be destroyed, but rather the policies, or lack thereof, will be things I probably don't agree with, and there will be even more divisiveness in the country.  Just one poor mans opinion.

Had an interesting group conversation at work yesterday morning, following the four day 4th of July weekend.  What everyone was talking about, was what most of the discussions were at the various holiday celebrations throughout the weekend, particularly as it pertained to issues in our country.

The central theme to that was in those weekend discussions, we all agreed we didn’t hear people talking about the border, or gender identity, or gun laws….we heard people talking about the parks, about the good things going on in their schools, about the kids going into their colleges and trades. I can honestly say I didn’t hear the words immigration or abortion the entire weekend, and many of my co workers had the same experience. (Keeping in mind as well that we work in government).

So it just reinforced to me that the vast majority of  Americans, and their daily concerns, do not at all revolve around what the people on TV and podcasts tell us we should really be up in arms about.  They may spit about it online in their various venting forums, but when it comes down to daily life, the clickbait concerns are not all ‘our’ concerns, but more the concerns of those wanting to push the buttons. A small percentage follows the little herd, but they are extremely loud so they just seem like a bigger crowd than they really are.

RV you don't lean left.   You are way to the left of center.   You have for years tried to maintain that you are just left of center.   Not based on what you have been posting.

I'm actually conservative by 1990s standards.

Not with your Tax and spend philosophy.   Not with your war on the rich.   Not with your tax way more and don't hold down spending.   You have no answer to increasing spending other than tax more.   You are no conservative by any decade's standard.  Good luck trying to convince us.

That America is shifting towards more conservative common-sense values is the one thing that just might save America. To many hardworking, patriotic conservative Americans this is great news. The woke left has been trying to Fundamentally Transform America. Those were President Obama's own words. Well guess what, hardworking Americans are not going to put up with open border, climate change malarky. So, either be part of the solution or continue being the major problem.

I disagree.

Do you have examples of the things you mentioned?

Climate change is real. Sorry to burst your 'common sense' bubble.

https://science.nasa.gov/climate-change/evidence/ 'It is undeniable that human activities have produced the atmospheric gases that have trapped more of the Sun’s energy in the Earth system. This extra energy has warmed the atmosphere, ocean, and land, and widespread and rapid changes in the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere, and biosphere have occurred.'

Show me a source on par with NASA?

Not projection at all. That was an incredibly lazy and inaccurate post by you.

I was commenting on another poster's capability to be a better poster (which I believed then, and still do, to be true.) IMO, that particular poster seems to have the potential to provide contributions here.

Who am I to judge? I'm nobody to judge. I'm not a judge. But I am expressing my opinion. (I get to do that.)

I'm interacting with other posters and sharing my opinions as is how discussion groups work.

Mspart - get off your high horse. Engage in the conversation like a participant or don't.

Either way, nobody needs you to judge me or anyone else here.
