As we all know the left is in turmoil because they can't find a decent candidate to run against Trump, who is a pretty absurd figure. Why can't they?

1) All the momentum within the democratic party is on the extreme, economically moronic, oppressor/oppressed narrative is everything, utopian Marxist end. Any who catches that lightening is going to be DOA. No moderates allowed.

2) Because they are so far down the utopian rabbit hole, the democratic party hasn't elevated anyone who isn't willing to pass counterfactual purity tests to the point where they look like complete imbeciles. Why was the incompetent and ridiculous Kamala made VP? Because she's dumb enough to parrot anything. This is virtue in the democratic party.

The right isn't much better, it has a significant problem with caring more about "owning the libs" than about actual policy, but its clear which side is more radicalized and potentially harmful.

PS- I can put it this way, the left has no ability to police itself, they're continually trying to outflank each other to the left and haven't established what "too far" is.

Had Biden announced he wasn't running again after the mid-terms, I think they would have had lots of options. Biden saying he was running prevented them from finding a decent candidate. Now they have logistical problems as much as they have trouble identifying a candidate.

Whitmer and Shapiro are popular governors of important electoral states and seem like they'll be early front runners for 2028 regardless of what happens this year. I like Jared Polis. I'm sure they wouldn't be palatable enough to the national Democratic party, but from an electoral success standpoint, Andy Beshear and Roy Cooper have both won governorships twice in red states.

I just hope it doesn't end up being some senator who hasn't actually had to get anything done other than make speeches.

Democrats have painted themselves into a difficult corner. Either proceed with a clearly diminished Biden, or move forward with a candidate that was not chosen by voters

Shapiro has absolutely zero chance of winning the ticket for the Dems.

Dean Phillips didn’t get much traction.  The dimocrats will do well to beat RFK.

Things look bad for the Democrats, but the implied 50 state sweep for Republicans here won't happen either.

Probably not more than 48.

I'm guessing Hawaii will go D, and even though WA is kind of sort of trending in a conservative direction a little, I think they will vote D as well as OR and CA.   So maybe 46.

The vote by mail states will always be sketchy.

If Biden drops out now, Kamel Hairs gets the $100 million in campaign funds.

And if they picked up anyone else that money would have to be returned to donors.

I don't see how any objective person can say that the left is more "radicalized" than the right when we've absolutely  100% gone off the deep end to the right in this country. The rich are getting richer than ever, marginal tax rates keep going down, the top 1% actually pay a lower tax rate than the middle class, the poor keep getting poorer , our military budget keeps getting more and more bloated and environmental regulations keep getting strangled in the name of bigger corporate profits.

this is where the conversation stops cause i think pretty much everything you said is false or predicated on economic ignorance.

Drug overdose: the left pushes for narcan to be available and for mental health services which could really lull back on OD deaths but the right oppose those

Protests: many people were arrested in 2020 and some were even illegally arrested causing lots of cities to pay out settlements and college protestors were arrested what are you talking about lmao

forgiving student loans: you full well know that these acts didn’t need congressional approval, they have made their way through plenty of courts and most of the debt wiped out is by pslf which was already in place but wasn’t being administered correctly

That isn't "the right" its just a few misguided politicians in Louisiana.  Most don't agree with this although there may be value in teaching the history of law but that doesn't mean you have to require displaying all laws in public schools, we've got books and libraries for that.  Conclusion: your post is mostly fib.

I enjoy messing around with the electoral map.  Based on polling seems like AZ and GA are trending strongly back towards Trump.  NV looks to go RED for the first time since '04.  The election comes down to three states; PA, MI, & Wisconsin.

Check it out and have some fun fellas...
