Iowa campus on Halloween weekend should be lively and fun. PSU just before election day could be wild, but BB's probably used to it by now as a Pennsylvanian. Plus tOSU will be in town for football. Okie State might be a little dull the weekend before Thanksgiving, with midterms and everyone getting ready to leave town. But he'll get to experience a home dual at Gallagher, and the turnout will probably be good.

Probably none of this matters, just fun to think about.

His PSU visit will be on Halloween Weekend as well. Not sure that is Bassett's scene but there will be plenty going on that weekend with Halloween and tOSU

Report is IWB plans to hijack the film room to play some slasher Fri 13 type movies and scare him away.  👹

His VT visit is during the Mizzou dual. VT fans show out for duals. He’ll like the atmosphere. It’s not like PSU or Iowa but VT’s attendance ranks pretty high for a somewhat rural part of Southwest VA.

A very "brainy" source says Rutgers will be a finalist.  Book it!

I think that would be awesome for wrestling, not only do you get Bo but probably Melvin and Bo's younger brother on top of getting Conner harer this year and likely his younger brother who is the same year as Bo and I believe both of those guys will be studs in college. It could turn Rutgers into a power house.

I probably have posted this before but I really hope the rumors of Rutgers is true. Selfishly I just want to see other programs land blue chips outside of the typical PSU, Iowa, Ohio State etc. but it also makes sense for the Bassett brand to go somewhere where he will be the face of rise of a new trophy contender. If it starts a pipeline from Bishop McCort then even better.

Bishop McCort wasn't much prior to the Bassetts and their family heading there.  I don't expect them to remain much after the younger Bassett has graduated - all respects due.

Princeton...LOL...yeah ok.

It is a very pretty campus.   Could be like a remake of Risky Business with Bo as Joel and they could film the whole four or five years for streaming and NIL $$ to the Bassets.  I like it!

How old is the younger bassett? And I think Miller is a sophomore....they keep having national success you might start seeing more families moving into that area for....."academic" purposes lol

I'm guessing that when the Bassett's are gone, it is highly possible that the man responsible for growing the program may be gone, too.

I believe he is a Frosh this year.

That said, as IaW eludes to below, once the 'coach' is gone they won't draw the numbers/names.  I believe he will look to follow to wherever his boys are heading which, to me, seems to be pretty likely Rutgers.

there is a younger forrest that I think is in 7th or 8th grade and they have like 5 kids that will be on their junior/senior high team this year that are from Florida. It will be interesting if 3-4 years of being a national powerhouse attracts enough kids to sustain long term success or not. given the investment to "the compound" training facility and the proximity to young guns I would imagine they will try to keep development going.

Or kids could move back to FL and the younger Forrest could move to be nearer big brother.  Stillwater HS is already very familiar with this type of transfer.

What is the Rutgers RTC situation like? Isn't the RTC supposed to be a major deciding factor for Bo / Jax?
