I think Pitt or Rutgers would be good landing spots for him. although Pitt has santaniello for 3 more years as well as tallamadge now.

Probably a good move on his part.  PSU is so stacked I am not sure he would be able to crack the lineup consistently.  Wherever he ends up, I wonder if that would bear any weight with where Bassett commits too?

didn't he commit to cornell first? or his brother goes there or something?

Older brother Erik de-committed Cornell first.

Is it a done thing for Mason to go to Rutgers? It would be crazy for Schools not to go after him and recruit him. I believe his ceiling is high.

I think injuries led to underperforming, which dropped his stock pretty badly over last season.  I am glad Rutgers nabbed him, as I also hold the sentiment that he hasn't peaked yet.

He is also extremely short for a projected 133/141 pounder.  So was Luke Pletcher, but the lack of length certainly isn't boosting his upside.

Yes, lack of height has certainly held back shorter 133 pounders like Daton

Chaz Tucker went 34-0 in the COVID year at 133, and he was probably shorter than everyone else.

Well to be fair he fell short of winning a NCAA title in his five tries.

Chaz is 5'2" tall. Still, he towers over Conrad Henrickson. I think Conrad is about 4'11".

Pletcher was a stud though. I like watching shorter guys wrestle long wrestlers. Usually the short guy is jacked and explosive, which is pretty good compensation for giving up length. Those long kids who have learned how to use their length are nasty though. Makes for an interesting contrast in styles 😄
