Wrestlestat is now showing both Swiderski and Chittum on RS for next year

Someone will hit the portal between Swiderski, Chittum and Johnson. I don’t know how they make this work. Unless a complete lineup shift from 165-184 goes up to 174-197 after this year and the 149-165 is a combo of Enchimedia, Chittum, Johnson and Swiderski but then there’s still a odd man out. I also expect Zach Redding to hit the portal

i get a lot of info from coaches for Crystal Ball, which i then relay to WrestleStat.

that being said, they also project some things on their own, and not everything the coaches tell me is 100%. things change.

thanks, does this also apply to my question about the portal in which it seemed different sources had different facts?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Tyler Wells outgrows 133 and redshirts behind Vombaur this season.

What would the plan at 133 be then?

I think it would be Eisch or a transfer if that happens. Eisch is serviceable but not nearly as good as Wells. I hope he can make 133 again but is registered at 65kg for the US Open.

For the 2026 season, there is still a lot to be figured out.  But a few projections from WS on who is expected to be a non-freshman redshirt this year

125: Noah Michaels, Rider (started last year as a true freshman while Tyler Klinsky had a non-freshman redshirt year of his own); Tyler Garvin, Maryland (started as a true freshman for Maryland but struggled with a 5-21 record)
133: Matty Lopes, Lehigh (ended up starting as a true freshman as Crookham was injured); Gage Walker, Missouri (as a true freshman last year at 125, he filled in for Noah Surtin who unexpectedly had to medically retire.
141: Tyler Wells, Oklahoma (new Oklahoma transfer is listed as an expected redshirt this year while also bumping up a weight)
149: None
157: Grigor Cholakyan, Stanford (True freshman national qualifer for the Cardinal listed as a redshirt while Daniel Cardenas who completed a non-freshman redshirt year last year comes back to the starting lineup)
165: None
174: None
184: None
197: Ryder Rogotzke, Ohio State (2X NQ pinning machine is bumping up and redshirting after the Buckeyes agreed to terms with incoming transfer Dylan Fishback)
285: Daniel Herrera, Iowa State (National qualifier last year as a true freshman filling in for the injured Yonger Bastida); Collin French, Rider (started last year as a true freshman, but gets the chance to redshirt this year after Rider agreed to terms with incoming Ohio State transfer Hogan Swenski.
