No way Brooks doesn't win OW.  As much as I'd like to see Vito get it, he only majored his opponents to the finals (ONLY is crazy to say).  Brooks freaking pinned Novak, Buchanan, and tech'd Rocky.  How does that happen??

You may hate him for his love for God (frankly I love seeing wrestlers praising and thanking God vs. them taking a knee or acting like that idiot Rapinoe), but he earned it, hands down.  Those are the guys I want my daughter to look up to, personally.  No offense if you don't agree with me....

I think the line for post match religion is just stay positive and don’t shit on other people’s beliefs. Also, it’s ok to answer some questions about the actual match.

Vito "only" majored his way through to the finals, and beat the undefeated #1, undefeated #2, and #3 seeds.  How does that happen, and has it happened before?  Brooks beat the #33, #17, #8, and #12 seeds on his way to the finals.

(FWIW, this is the second NCAA tournament in which Vito beat two undefeated opponents)

I might be wrong but a 3 Time NCAA Champion beating a true freshman in the finals with 1 point for an escape and 1 point for a stall call doesn't meet the eye test as most outstanding. Not to mention Carter put on his track shoes the last 1 minute of the match.

Won his 4th title on one leg with a freshly torn up knee in the most physically grinding tournament in the world  , beat 2 ncaa champs back to back (3rd and 4th place finishers) they didn’t come close to scoring on him , then blanked the dude in the finals 

 

he gave 0 points to the 2nd 3rd and 4th place guys while physically compromised, that’s Kyle Dake level stuff

3 time NCAA champ blanks true freshman scoring 1 point. The same freshman who was wrestling in high school last year. It didn't look like his leg slowed him down very much.  If it was really bad he wouldn't have been able to wrestle for 1 minute.. Just to be clear he had 2 legs . Anothony Robles had one leg and won an NCAA tournament. He won the match big deal. Congratulations.

Uh Anthony Robles had his entire life to prepare to wrestle with one leg at ncaas , starocci had 12 days and the leg was still there for people to grab and twist and use against him , what a ridiculous comparison I’ve been waiting to use the new clown emoji

A few guys had impressive 3 days, but Vito's were the most outstanding.  Kerkvliet & Brooks both follow closely after.
