Not necessarily. Bouzakis lost 5-3, days after competing overseas @ U23's.  Tom Ryan isn't making any decision based off of that intel...:classic_dry:

I feel like the concern for Nic would more be for next year+ anyway especially of course if Davion redshirts

I like Bouzakis a lot - I think its cool how he honors his brother after matches.  I want to see him succeed.  I think others have touched on the source of some of his struggles.  His extreme strength advantage in high school did not directly translate to college.  He is still figuring out when to utilize skill and when to try and overpower.

For some reason I had it in my head that Hoffman was actually an assistant coach this year after having graduated from Ohio State.  I guess that still could be the case and he is just using his last bit of eligibility while he can.

He is an assistant at Lock

@Husker_Du how does Gavin Hoffman have any eligibility left?

2019 Redshirt
2020 Freshman
2021 Pay no mind
2022 Sophomore
2023 Junior
2024 Senior (wrestled 5 duals and 1 tourney on what looks like a 19 event schedule)

The only thing I can think of is the 2024 season somehow qualified for a medical.  It's also not necessarily clear if his entering the portal means he even has eligibility left.  If memory serves me correctly Josh Humphreys from Lehigh entered the portal after he had exhausted eligibility, during his appeal, but it wasn't accepted

Good news then, WKN has entered the portal, too.

Quite the jump from 184 last year.

He is 16W - 3L at 285 in his career already (and that was in a season he started at 184lbs as well).

He wasn't meant for 184, as shown by two seasons in which he started at 184 and couldn't finish.  He had superior results at 197 by far.

Brady Berge was not allowed to compete for SDSU after serving in a coaching capacity there (had to return to Penn State to compete).  But Gavin Hoffman may be allowed to do it for Lock Haven, I’m confused, is it strictly something to do with transfer portal or did Bono not release BB?

It could have something to do with Penn State wanted Berge at 157lbs for team purposes.
