He may be. I truly don't know. I just know Cruz was a mega recruit coming out of HS.

I think if you peruse the results of each wrestler in comparison you will see a difference.

Agree - Cruz was a big time recruit, but even with a change of scenery to Iowa,  he hasn't had great results.

I don't have access to the transfer portal itself, and maybe if I did, I could answer my own question.

But when I consider that between WrestleStat, Flo, and Intermat, the records of the transfer portal are overlapping in many cases, but there are significant portions which are also just unique to each source.  Is the format of the transfer portal very difficult to intepret which leads to all of these differences in reporting?

We then have cases of wrestlers announcing something on Instragram/Twitter, but it just doesn't get picked up by any of the major sources.  So my list above attempts to be a catch all of all of the major sources and twitter feeds, but if you see anything you catch, please let me know.  I am only one man.

@Husker_Du wasn’t Flynn close with Dan Dennis? Wasn’t he training with him in his final year(s) of HS?  It would be a shocker if Iowa didn’t flirt with the idea of going after Flynn. This would allow for Drake to eat and move up, unless the plan is for Drake to stay at 125.

Or are they waiting for another 125/133 to hit the portal? Or is Iowa not as interested hitting the portal for lighter weights?

I could Also see schools as Iowa State/Michigan going after him.

i'd imagine Iowa will take a look at it.

It's a real pull for Drake. Although i agree that he might not be a big upgrade for what they have on their roster and he (Flynn) doesn't portend to be a big point scorer at ncaas.

Michigan, on the other hand, has absolutely no one at 125. they have Caden Horwath (who beat Braeden Davis in hs last year) but he only went 2-6 this season.

The schools I had heard with Cooper was Princeton to follow Brewer and also Maryland as he was close with Maryland asst Elijah Oliver when he was back in TN. I also know that Chattanooga (however a longshot they may be) is making a bid for Cooper's services as well.

With another Cooper from TN committing to Michigan this year it wouldn't be that outside the realm of crazy for him to go there. But I think the two front runners are Princeton and Maryland.

Do Ivy League schools take transfers who have been in college for 3 years?  I heard his major is construction management; I don't see anything analogous on the Princeton website.  I doubt most of his credits would transfer.

Maryland and UTC make sense.

Construction Management?   If he’s on pace to graduate next year then I’m betting it’s Michigan and then he gets a Real Estate Development certificate (which of course would be relevant for a construction management degree) to use his last year of eligibility.

I just saw on Flo that Isaiah Powe of Chattanooga entered the portal. He was 25-4 this year as a true freshman and 1-2 at NCAA Losing to Mendez and Matthews. I was watching him first match and thinking "Yeah He might get a good deal if he enters the portal."
We shall see. But I think he would be a good catch for whatever team he chooses (even back to Chattanooga)

Brock Delsignore feels like a huge pickup for little rock. He had a great year had a major over Sam fisher and Bennett Berge and his only loss was an injury default.
