Trev Alberts gone from Nebraska

The bad man can't hurt Nebraska collegiate wrestling anymore. Texas A&M bought him as their new AD for god knows what reason (it can't be the success of Scott Frost or Matt Rhule). Good riddance ***duck**o!

Best regards,

Friends of the UNO program.

*formal petition to @BobDole to allow my original verbiage. Words matter and my emphasis was appropriate for that stellar advocate of all student athletes*

*if they play a revenue sport that isn't the only sport that turned a profit at UNO

Nebraska hiring Troy Dannan from Washington to replace the former the coward who cut UNO's team.

Dannen hired Doug Schwab while at UNI so this appears to be an upgrade for the wrestling community (almost anyone with a pulse would of been).

You give Alberts too much credit. I believe he is a current coward.

He’s at a school where he can’t hurt wrestling at thankfully.

But what is his deal? Why don’t we like him?

The Boise State president called wrestling a dying sport and then cut them to add baseball. That guy I really ***ducking** hate.

Hey...that Boise State baseball team lasted a grand total of 14 games (not seasons) before being cut themselves!

As far as Alberts, he cut UNO the night they won the Division II national championship (not an exaggeration).

Ohhh yeah. That was legit thought right? I believe they also cut football?

Alberts cut UNO wrestling over the phone during the celebration of their national title.  Then when the team got back to Omaha the next day, he had already placed padlocks and chains on their facility entrances, locking them out.

And added men's soccer and golf, citing "alignment with their conference rivals". Then, to make sure they completely couldn't add wrestling later (presumably), added men's swimming and diving, a sport that they can likely never be competitive in, on his way out.

Alberts is/was a douche for that UNO move.  Glad he's now at a non-wrestling school because more sports will be on the chopping block in the future.

Makes you think that Trev is just one of those football guys who could never understand how a 140-ish pound wrestler could put a Nebraska linebacker on the ground and keep him there.
