I am a PSU fan, but I am done with the PSU athletes trying to tell us about religion. And when they say that "none of this matters," then why are we watching?

Lord,  watch over Kenny. Amen

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter.  I loved hearing their interviews.

Our Aaron, Who art in State College, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Championships come, Thy Will be done, On Happy Valley as it is in Kansas City. Give us this day, our daily medal, And forgive us our stalls, as we forgive those who stall against us. And lead us not into cradles, but deliver us from pinfelled.

What are you replacing it with, or are you entirely cancelling your interest in the program?

I believe religion is a private place for people. I want to hear about the match, not their religion.

Should we really have to hear your beliefs?  We want to post about wrestling not hear what you believe.

Daton Fix and Anthony Echemendia both saying "all glory to God".

Honestly even if you're not religious - couldn't you view it as something similar to "this goes bigger than just me and my efforts - I'm grateful for all of the things that had to go in my favor to help make this possible".  If you view it as that sort of atheist translation, we can all move on and view it as a nice sentiment which is uncontroversial.

You said you were done with it. How does that work? You boycott PSU wrestling, or just post match interviews?

Sincerely,  I  don't care about their religious beliefs and don't want to hear about them.  And if someone gave all glory to satan, I think a lot of you would show your hypocrisy.

Pretty sure God is better than that crummy Satan.

And Santa Claus is better than the Easter bunny,  but who gives a shit, neither one helped you win a Big Ten title.

Maybe who should write a letter to Cael with his concerns.

Do you guys not see the irony in complaining about a hypothetical regarding how Christians might complain if a hypothetical interview occurred? Christians aren’t on here complaining when others give non-religious interviews.

KOT’s message was incredibly positive and respectful of his opponent. The sport needs more of that.

I agree with this. But to say that nothing matters is stupid

It is a little odd to see the movement from “we’re having fun” to “it doesn’t matter, you can’t take it with you.“

I like the movement to "we are having fun," compared to "I embrace the grind"

Great interview, liked the farmer reference.

KOT read from Ecclesiastes, then a Glory Be to God.

At least he translated this to wrestling, I’ll give that a pass.

The Kerk one was super weird.  I said in the B10 thread he sounded like he was in a cult and Aaron Brooks is the leader.

I’m not crazy about them telling us about their religion either, but with how common it is among the top guys, clearly it’s working for them.
