Just randomly scrolling through wrestlestat today (it started when Arujau beat a guy via 8-2 Decision that he had Techd 19-4 earlier in the season, fwiw).

Chaz Tucker, in the 2020 cancelled tournament year, went 31W-0L on the year with a 9% bonus rate.

Is the the lowest bonus rate for any undefeated guy going in to natties?

Lowkey the EIWA is a meatgrinder, definitely not as deep as Big10 but it has my vote for second hardest conference to win!

I think the Big 13....err... 12 takes it.

Round of 16 complete.

-  Binghamton advances 3 - #11 Seeds to the Quarters

-  50 of the 53 AQ wrestlers advance to the Quarters

1. Cornell - 21.5,  2. Lehigh - 20.5,  3. Penn - 19.5

Was wondering how it was so close when Cornell went 10-0 and Lehigh 7-3 (with both squads piling up bonus points), but Herceg picked up a tech fall in the consolation pigtail too.

I would even take ACC over EIWA. Fewer schools but every school, maybe excluding Duke, is sending athletes that can win it

How many allocations does the EIWA have at 125?

They have five so they can both make it.  But Max Gallagher and Nick Babin could have something to say about that

Vito’s quarter match didn’t look pretty either. Winners win, but when he faces the top guys I fear he will be outmatched due to his injury/whatever it is making him regress.

I hope he finds it, his story last year was great!

Wasn't Crookham also 4-2 and was he call for stalling late?

What’s your point? Sorry, not being an ass I’m literally just asking lol

Ohhh you’re talking about Crooks match at EIWA not his match with Vito? I haven’t seen that and will not be watching it tbh.

I pull for anyone that’s not PSU or wrestling Purdue, so either is a viable champion in my eyes!

Point is neither looking like world beaters now but they have in the past.

Benny Baker makes light work of Conigliaro

Losing with about :20 to go, getting the late TD and riding out (with a bonus NF at the end) is "light work"?

I think watching the match between Vito and Leete  you can see how it's one where the whole time Vito was taken out of his normal style based on the visually impaired start. He couldn't level change or fake from space to set anything up and the guy he was wrestling just wanted to tie Vito up and headbutt him the whole time... don't think the kid from American took a shot the whole match and was honestly wrestling like an ass at the end of the match in my opinion lunging with his head into Vito's...

You "think" you watched it, or you DID watched it?

Vito's last season WAS wonderful... he totally deserved it!!!

Still Leete wasn't purposely headbutting Arujau... the referee didn't call it, nor the assistant ref for that bout, either.

Sight impaired/blind wrestlers start in that fashion for quite awhile... that's what the rules state (where are you, gimp when we need you for chapter and verse?)

Vito had to adapt to what was put in front of him (after all, he IS the reigning NCAA & World champion... adapting should be his middle name!)

Just sayin'...

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Wait… that was the start? I was wondering what that is. Thanks for the knowledge! Is that kid blind then?

He's legally blind so the rule is that they must maintain physical contact or the whistle blows and they restart

That could be why he appeared to be struggling to wrestle his style…. I take back my opinions on the match given the limitation of wrestling from space.

Guess not Babin, Maida pins him in 35 seconds
