NCAA individual titles by State?

Any of the US States with no NCAA (D1) Champions?

For this, multiple titles by a single wrestler count. As in Utah was zero until Cael and he gave them 4 titles - with fellow Utard Aaron Holker becoming the second to win a title.

Is Pennsylvania #1? Or maybe Oklahoma because of all the pre-WWII champions?

Anyone have a breakdown of the States?

Great response!    Many folks don't realise that there was wrestling before Gable took over the Hawks and there are others that don't think it existed before Cael took over in Happy Valley

The state of Oklahoma had a lot of champs after WWII, pretty sure Wkn has a table & graph.

Although it's astonishing that Mizzou only has 9 and is barely ranked in the Top 20, admittedly some of their top standouts (the Askrens) aren't from Missiouri. 

If there's ever a chart only including data from more recent years (maybe 1967 onward since that's when Michigan State won), it would be even more interesting to see.   How many NCAA champs does Oklahoma produce nowadays (i.e. since 1967)?   

Maybe if the western half of the USA hosted the NCAAs more often, California would be top 5 and Arizona would be ranked.

Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Kentuckah, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, New Mexico, Nevada, Idaho.

I'm guessing I did pretty well.

You have to know by now that I quantify. It is what I do.

And if you make a bold claim like "I did very well" you are inviting the multi-page thread. Don't act like you don't love it.

As an educator I propose the scale you should be familar with. 90% is an A (very well), 80% is a B (well), 70% is a C (average), 60% is a D, less is an F.

I agree .Showing from sometime in the sixties forward would be more helpful.
