Sammy had a second surgery this morning and is still in serious condition. Someone close to the family has said he expected to have a full recovery. An 11 year old boy witnessed the shooting. No one has been arrested. Flo has an article on there page.

Terrible news. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. All the PSU board guys say he’s a great young man who is very kind to kids at clinics and camps.

Is there any place we can go to offer financial support?  A GoFundMe or anything of the sort?

It's possible they don't need help (maybe personal & university insurance), also possible they don't really know what they are facing yet.  Maybe we need to wait a bit, see how it plays out and what they need.  Hopefully all goes well and great medical care.

Good idea. If you find out of one please post on here. I'm sure everyone would help out.

Something kinda cool - I follow a lot of different college boards.  Some more active than others.  Among those that have daily activity, there was only one forum where the story was missing (Oklahoma State's 34 and counting), but I doubt it was from malice, and more likely to be with a preoccupation of their own major changes underway.

Among all of the boards where it was mentioned, there wasn't a single antagonistic post against him - even behind the cloak of internet anonymity, where cowards usually hang around.  Everyone who posted about Sammy was wishing him well and hoping for the best.  I was taken aback by that in a good way.
