What freshman will have good shot to stand on Podium at NCAA Tournament?

Van Ness-PSU

Facundo-PSU

Soldano-RUTGERS

Johnson- IOWA STATE

Henson-VIRGINIA TECH

Mendez-OHIO STATE

I know there are so many more that I'm missing

There deserves to be two criteria. True Frosh, for those their first year out of high school, and Red/Greyshirt Frosh.

Tom Crook! (Of those not mentioned)

He is really impressive, mostly because he doesn't seem to be a guy who gets beat by one takedown. Its one thing to be a tough out, but real scoring potential is pretty hard to find.

Several great freshman this year, love how so many are cracking starting lineups (New RS rule too I know). I may be the highest on Swiderski, think he's going to be phenomenal.

You must be new here.

I am both Cheech and Chong high combined on Swiderski.  It is known I am higher than the highest on Swiderski.

NHS also lives near the beach. His nickname is Spicoli. That's how high he is regarding Swiderski.

I second the crook. What’s his story? Was he heavily recruited?

He took some 'odd' losses his senior season, I believe.  Couple with him being a Florida guy (not seen as a NJ/PA/OH type grit) and he ended up dropping his senior season to 'fringe' Top 20 by spring.

Well if you can convince him to transfer to OSU as they will be in dire need of for a 149/157lber soon I will make you a crown and all.

Sasso has another year to use - Do you think he is moving up or is not going to use his last year of eligibility?

Sasso and Kharchla need to move up a weight. They look like they are sucked and both have big cuts.

I think Kharchla wants to compete in FS at 74 kg so I expect he will stay at 165.  I have been expecting Sasso to move up for a while but he is in his 5th year in college wrestling at 149 (counting his RS year) so I am not sure that will happen either.
