He was worried that he might not be able to lock his hands on Taylor.  He could probably wrap his arms around Lee twice and it would still be too loose.

I heard a story that Taylor hugged Dietrich at weigh-ins to size him up and see if he could get his arms around him. Lee should help Dietrich with his coat before the match to see if he could get his bar arm series in.

Let us assume that they have to meet in the middle somewhere...

Let's say 65 and 57 have autobids for 2025 worlds for US Gold Medalists ( Gillman and Retherford just to piss people off).

All theorhetical.

USAW decides non-Gold medalist weights will have to be competed.  Medalists get the bye to Final-X still, though.

They decide that US Open for weights without gents sitting out will get a bye to Final X (like this year) and for some odd reason they give a +2 to the Open.

Pantaleo is sitting to Final X at 70, so no real reason for Johnny D to go 70(72) and he is light enough he thinks he can go 61(63).

Him and Lee end up being seeded on opposite sides, somehow.  Johnny D beats Fix in the Semifinals and Lee beats Gross setting this match up for a match well after weigh-ins.

Spencer weighed in at 60.2 KG (132.7lbs) and in an interview leading up said he dod zero cutting to make weight.  He makes an Instagram post when he was getting ready to head down for warmups actually weighing 133.0 even - with his sweats on.

Johnny D weighed in at the full 63 KG (138.9lbs).  He sees Spencer's 'joke' and replies with his own, with him also in his warmups sans shoes, weighing 146.5lbs (66.5 KG).

...

How does this match go?

"I know actually nothing.  It isn't even conjecture at this point." - me
