Are you really not aware of fraudulent activities in Republican states/cities/counties recently? It's pretty shocking, some of what has gone down. Embezzlement, voter fraud, executive overreach, cronyism... and that's just a few items recently.

Right wing media doesn't report it. Or they spin it to make it not sound bad.

If you want to know what's going on, you have to seek multiple viewpoints. "My side is better than your side" really doesn't help anybody, because it lets the people in power continue to accumulate power instead of working FOR us on the things we all want. We can prob all agree that our country/culture is on a bad path right now and if we keep picking at each other instead of uniting around the sh** that matters then nothing is going to change.

Anyways that's my preachy take on it lol

I watch CNN sooooooooooooo

I’m confused, is mamdani hurting landlords due to rent freezes and causing them to lose money and drive  business away from nyc or is he making renters pay more than ever before the spin is hard to keep track of

You’re confused?  No way.

Is mamdani ruining nyc by freezing rent or is he ruining it by having rents higher in history? They both can’t be true but the right wing media says it is

The landlords are raising the rents on the properties that aren’t frozen, high enough to cover their losses on the frozen units.

Didn’t that piker guy 8685309 supports advocate for killing the landlords ?   Like literally?

The answer is yes, he also supported stealing from businesses who try to make a profit through capitalism.

Oh ok if that’s true then sounds like Mamdani isn’t bankrupting them

They seem to be withdrawing their announcements some recently.

But if they’re raising rents on the market rate units then they’re not going bankrupt.

Of course they wouldn’t be able to justify raising rents if there wasn’t demand.  So sounds like there isn’t a mass exodus.

The people are buddying up, one apartment - two or three families.  But it’s going about as well as it usually does when the gov’t attempts to fix things.
