I think it's all the stupid pop-ups. I'm on other forums with no issues but those don't have pop-ups all over the screen they confine ads to a bottom bar. .

A fascinating ambivalence (nice way to say it) by someone who wants to attract payors to their digital content. I paid for Willie’s content in the past. Rokfin and here. This middle finger (not nice way to say it) to site users doesn’t encourage being a repeat paying customer. Perhaps the risk here is tiny overall. Perhaps this site is a competitor - people get news here after all. Perhaps rationale to let it wither and die. Say ‘not my fault.’ Heck, I recall we were pretty happy when he saved the forum a few years back. I am grateful for that!! 1

Thanks for saving the forum a decade ago but it looks like the apparent under-appreciative comments of a few will contribute to the demise of a long running service. The ad revenue model must not be worth the hassle in 2026.

I posted to that thread and liked it. But you might want to rethink your math. Maybe 50 posts a year or so'ish... so maybe .0001% of posts or so? Not exactly setting the place on internet fire.
