Is this site soooooooo slow lately. Not this week…. The last month +

Glad to see this thread as it confirms I’m not the only one experiencing this.  That said, worked better just now.

 I often bail as the website loading progress bar freeezes.

I’ll just co-sign this as if it’s some sort of petition. Oftentimes times out and I end up just forgetting whatever I was going to do and move on to something else

Isn't it grand that you can hit reply/quote go the the restroom, grab a beer, make a sandwich, come back and the reply box is open and ready to type a message.  Now if changing threads better to do while grilling steak.

Same. It's actually been good for me to not to spend too much time here with the site being hella slow. 

I'm getting about 10 seconds loading time per thread, response, things like that. It's not a lot of time in grand scheme of time, but it's about 2000% slower than usual.

The full message was "turkey trots to water gg where repeat where is task force 34 rr the world wonders".  The first and last parts were filler to make it harder for the enemy to intercept and decode.

Cancelled my subscription today.

I have not been able to post for months, and even accessing the site is very difficult.

The tech support button does not work. It literally says “not available.”

On my laptop, the website is not accessible at all. Has been that way for 2 months. Just an error message when I go to the site. 

On my phone, I cannot post, since when I try to, the website first asks me to specify if I want to use tapatalk (whatever that is) or browser. If I click tapatalk, an error message comes up. I can’t hit “browser” since there is always an ad over the button — an ad with no “x” so it’s the ad or nothing.

Right now I was able to post only after spamming the ad button repeatedly, over 30+ minutes. I now have like 40 open tabs for Chewy on my phone. 

I have to assume Bob and Willie decided to just ignore the site, focus elsewhere, and let this website die on the vine. It’s a shame because I like both of them. 

So I guess that’s it. I’ve been posting here and the predecessor for almost 30 years, even before the forum was migrated to themat.com. Sometimes things end with a whimper, not a bang.

Like when you open topic takes you to last read post.  Like the ads are a bar at the bottom that doesn't pop up everywhere and does not interfere with posting/reading functions.  Like emojies and reactions.  Like you can edit a post and topic title more than 15 minutes after initial post.  Like you could be on multiple team forums and they all behave the same.  I'm also on an aviation forum that looks and behaves very similar but no ad bar, both very easy to us and always well behaved.  Ok but like I would miss Bob but he seems to be on extended vacation so don't think he will miss us or might not notice we all departed.

It's not always slow. But I honestly just don't bother with the forum when it's like that. Someone might want to make sure site traffic isn't down since this has been going on. It's a problem too often.
