Vega still hasn't given up a takedown.  Vega wins.

Louis Tully said of the aformentioned:

"During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a smaller and lankier Vega! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Vega! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Valencia will be in the 7/8th match.

Van Ness's best chance to win has passed and I see a 3-5 range finish.

Vega could do it but the Cael Tax traditionally comes for all.

Hitman it is.

Give me the hitman.

Brett Hart is far too old and not a reat wrestler.

Also, he would have to cut down quite a bit to get to 149lbs.  I don't think he would be functional.

Also the age thing.

Plus there’s the whole thing with Shawn Michaels. Think he’s gonna cut too? Think Montreal has been forgotten?

If Cael can get Van Ness to open up earlier he will win it.

His habit of sleepwalking the first period hurts him. A lot.

Come from behind works when it does but we saw how it worked out in Crunch Time.

Cael & Co can come up with a plan to get Shane prepared to go on offence earlier and eliminate most of the catch up wrestling. It works against many but won't against Vega - his main problem next year. He will have to pressure Vega - maybe spend more time in the room learning motion and aggression from Messenbrink - if he expects to win it all.

Wouldn’t mind a Vega and Henson final, especially if they miss one another all season. The hype train would be fun. I’ll take Vega currently, possible to feel differently by the fall/winter.

this will change 100 times for me but right now

1. Vega
2. Henson
3. Mendoza
4. Valencia
5. Joy
6. Larkin
7. SVN
8. Ech

Nice to see a list of contenders that isn't clogged with Big Ten wrestlers, and a bit surprising that SVN is on the bottom half of some people's AA picks. That said, I think SVN figures it out and wins the weight next season, based only on the fact that I enjoy watching how efficiently he wrestles and holds his space.

I agree, I like seeing the parity and competitiveness spread across several conferences, despite being a Michigan fan
