Lol. For a young 26 year old like Bassett, probably not. But intercontinental travel does takes time to adjust. Kazakhstan is like 10 hours ahead….messes with your sleep schedule, meals…and then coming back it’s the same way. And correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think Bassett has wrestled folk style (prior to last night) competitively since last spring.

Do you not think Bassett may be battling some jet lag/time zone issues considering his senior world title was just one week prior? Lol. Add in training freestyle exclusively over however many months and then switching to folk style? I’m thinking the opposite…that Bassett will make the gap bigger next time.

If Jax meets Seidel in the NCAA’s, it’s almost guaranteed he won’t win by tech and could lose. Seidel did take him down three times and if it wasn’t for Seidel getting caught once, he would’ve lost the dual match.
