Eche's outside steps promised some sort of successful scoring opportunity later in the match ... and about 6:00 he had Vega in danger. In hindsight, it might be obvious that Vega lives in those situations. But at the time, I did not know this. Again, if you did, congrats.

Re fits: if you cant see any of what I see, the score indicates that Vega musta had some issue. 

 

This match was a strength vs technique battle. Ech horsed him around but had limited offense, he comes at Vega pretty straight on or just grabbed a leg that was right there.

Have I replied to your posts before?  If I have it wasn't as some kind of intentional pattern.  I'm not reading anything into your name, as I don't recognize a ton of names on here.  I jump into topics on occasion, not usernames.  I'm sure I've argued with half a dozen posters but I couldn't tell you who they were, and the previous arguments wouldn't make me more or less likely to agree with them the next time they happen to be talking about one of the topics that interests me.  

As fans of the same team are we supposed to have the same takes?

I didn't call your comment out as absurd.  I sincerely said if that is fits, then I hope the top guys at 149 give him the same fits.  I sincerely hope that the top 149s can wrestle him close but never beat him.  I hope his match with Van Ness looks like his matches with Ech.  That would be great.  I don't think Vega is likely to dominate the competition at 149, and he didn't dominate the competition at 141.  But I don't think he is likely to struggle there more than he 'struggled' at 141.  I think he was a big 141 and a 19 year old.  I think he is likely to fully grow into 149.  I would bet he will be just as 'big' for 149 as he was for 141.

Van Ness and Valencia are listed as the same height as Eche. 8 more pounds of muscle concerns me.

Jaxon Joy is listed at 6' ... an inch taller than what Vega is listed ... plus the 8 pounds. Again, this concerns me.

Then again, Vega always figured out a way to win. No reason to think he can't do it again. Im sure he will, but it might take longer than 6 months.

Ross is light but he has a huge frame.  When he got his u20 plaque from Jaden Cox, Ross was far taller and wider in the shoulders.  I have no idea how effectively he puts weight on, but he has the frame to be huge.

In regards to the concerns about Vega at 149 in every post and or video I have seen he looks legitimately bigger than Landon, I think I am more concerned about him making 149 than I am about him being too small for 149. I am very interested in the Raneys seems like they opted to forgo the international season to focus on folk? Makes me think they both have plans on getting in the lineup. I am still holding out hope that small Raney can go 125.

The optics are messing with my head. I didn't know that 141 was a big cut for him and that he looked big at 149. I thought he was a little scrawny for 141, esp compared to Mendez, Ech, etc., and had yet to fill-out. Any idea what he walks around at?

The Raneys before they decided to not compete at the open were signed up for 60kg and 63kg. So idk how big they really are but some of the weights you have them at are a bit crazy

That's as may be, but the bigger one was wrestling 150lbs and bumped to 157lbs and couple times.

Most of the time, guys gain weight between high school and their freshman season. Especially a thinner looking heavyweight like Ross. If he has the strength to handle Merrill, he has the strength to handle most heavyweights. Even Parris had issues with Merrill's power.
