Why is NCAA swimming on ESPN+ and their US open is on Peacock? Its an NCAA thing, not the wrestling style.

Swimming gets prime time. Freestyle gets 1 am.

The popularity of the event

It's literally part of the package deal for NCAA championships. Same one that covers lacrosse, soccer and bowling.

The point you're trying to make isn't best made with the TV deal.

Not one time has anyone tried to answer why this (ncaa finals) are on espn and WTTs and the us open are on a Chinese iPad Roku device at 3am

there is a reason ….

Because CBS has the rights to March Madness

Well I mean same reason the college women's basketball tournament is more highly covered than  WNBA....  theres a lot of fandom tied to college teams.  Former college students (from that school) current students, their parents, etc etc... its easier to generate an audience given those circumstances.  Adults competing on their own without a natural fan base..... who wants to see that? Their familes and us degenerates

Sooo it’s far more popular.   Caveats don’t change that

Hope Minto can pull this off, but exceptionally doubtful

He has a chance, but it'll be a tall task

Agreed, I'm just glad he didn't sing. He seems like a nice kid, but annoying and insufferable to be around

lol oh you got me there I see the light 🙂

You're acting as though if NCAA was Freestyle parents and alumni  and former wrestlers would stop supporting their schools

But anyways, it doesn't matter, go MINTO

They do not do so by backing up out of bounds. But again, the issue is improving folkstyle, and a step out rule would be an improvement

They back up and drop to a knee and it's allowed.  It happens non-stop.

The big 10s Get coverage in prime time.   The Ikwf Illinois wrestling kids state tourney is more attended than wtt or ott.

the Ivy League conference finals were live on one of the ESPN(s) two weeks ago.    In prime time.   During bball season

Caliendo was a dirtbag for that move. Knows its illegal and dangerous and does it anyway.

The merkle isn't illegal.  It's a 5 count for stalling.  The ref just appeared to call it potential.
